Spent £13 more than expected in Makro however this included toiet roll which will last 2.5-3months, crisps that should last 2 months, bacon that will last 2 months and chicken that will last two months. I'm going to practice my half hearted second purse style way over the next few months and 'buy' things back from myself.
Not in need of much of the coming month and I get paid four weeks on Wednesday - 1.5 weeks of which bf is away so I will eat much more cheaply those weeks!************************************

NSD for me today as did the big SM shop yesterday. Hopefully we won't need to get anything else until Saturday and the meal plan will work.
Had a lovely roast pork dinner tonight with ice cream for pud and have already got the chicken out of the freezer for chicken casserole tomorrow. Just need to make a sandwich for work tomorrow then off to bed.July grocery challenge £161.25/£2900 -
Hi all
Well, I ended January with a 6 pound overspend which was a bit disappointing! I think I fell into a trap of buying too much rubbish-I am going to try to avoid this by staying out of pondland in February. I get to tempted with the chocolate offers!
Can I be put down for a budget of £170 for February please? For the first time I want this to include all take aways, toiletries and cleaning products. I need to stop buying takeaways, so I'm hoping that I will spend less if I keep an eye on my budget.
My-month will run until 25 February. I did my first shop yesterday and spent £27, which I'm happy with.
Thanks once again to our organisers! I really think I saved money last year by posting here. It really does help to keep track of what you're spending and questioning why are you spending it!
Good luck everyone!2025 goals

Hi, I would like to do this for the 3rd month running. Went over budget for Jan but am going to try again for Feb. Please can you put me down for £108 for the month again please? There is only me and the cat and I include toiletries and household cleaners etc. God knows where I am going wrong. Any suggestions to help me. I will read the first post again to see if I've missed something.
Thank you and good luck to everyone.
