Going to sort a meal plan out late as I've still not had time.

Will be Jacket pots for lunch and I have a bowl of thick hm veg soup left from Sunday night so I plan to use that as a basis for a veggie pie of some kind tonight.

    Hope for an nsd today.

    Have a good day all

Not updated for a while but have kept receipts and total spent so far is £113.58 We have been eating out of the freezers for at least 2 days a week in yet another attempt to have a good clean out of the freezers and then restock. Tonight's meal will be orange chicken for me and fish for dh and mum. Will have mine with rice and the fish will be served with potatoes and salad.
See that the March thread is up so will just go make a drink and then have a quick read as well as think of a budget.
    MARCH £62.38/250

Hello you lovely people, hope you're all well. I've not posted for a while but have been clocking up receipts and sticking to my budget. I have one more receipt to add then I'll tot up, add my totals and update my sig. I don't intend to spend anything else between now & Thursday, when my month starts again.

Edit: My February total is:- £110.08, so way under budget again. Pleased with that, I put any remaining money that I don't spend in my pot so I'm happy to keep the budget at £150.

My last week of February and we're looking good.
Todays spends, Tesco £14.53, Aldi £35.95 and £2.60 for daughter to get a warm panini at college today.

Should manage until payday easily. Will need some facewipes, TV mag, local paper and some carrots for the dog when I go into town on Thursday. Signature updated
    Grocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.00

  • Organised our final shop to be delivered Thursday night. £47-ish, but will wait and see as I don't allow substitutions so it's almost always under if something's not in stock.

Well done all! Stick with it...March is so close. :)

I spent £12.73 yesterday and shopping delivered today was £63.17. I am going to be a bit over budget this month
    £1000 Emergency Fund #175 - £598/£1000
    PAYDBX 16 #134 - £2139.00/£6961.85
    Roadkill Rebel #22 85p
  • I manage fairly well on £60.00 per month, but then there is only me to feed. I spend about a third on fruit and veg. Don't eat bread or butter and use UHT milk . I only have five dinners a week to make, as the other two is ,one at DDs on a Sunday, and Tuesday nights meal is at the local quiz night which comes to £2.00 and is from my 'Happy Cash Stash'

I don't have a problem sticking to my budget, and use Y/S stuff and coupons etc to streeetch the funds out, I eat veggie a couple of times a week, and am not a big meat eater at all.Chilli's and curries can be extended with careful use of lentils, kidney beans ,and porridge or cerals for breakfast. I rarely drink at a,ll and make all of my stuff from scratch,I like HM soups and bake my own cakes and biscuit. I use the left over cash for holidays and days out with my extended family.
