I've upped our monthly budget a bit to include pet food as we often buy it with our groceries, and it was getting complicated to separate!
We're cutting it fine with nine days to go until the end of the month though - currently on £228.56 out of a budget of £260. DH has managed to spend £40 on god knows what in between shops! So just over £30 to take us to next week, I need to do some careful planning today!
We are both on leave next week so some of our food will come from eating out and holiday money (we're not going away but planning a little 'staycation') I need to get some supplies in for other days and see if I can eke it out until a week Monday...Savings target: £25000/£25000

My month has gone to pot, I've lost track and have absolutely no idea where I'm at .. apart from way over budget, especially because of take outs.
So, I think, since I last posted (from receipts I have):
Eating Out: 157.96
Groceries: 230.10
Take Away: 129.05
However, this is on top of the signature figures, which means my budget is truly blown.
The main killer is not being organised enough in advance to prep food, so that by the time dinner happens, I've no energy or time, so takeout commences.
So, I'm going to tread water until the end of the month and then draw a line under it and move on.GC - March 2024 -0 -
