    Hi everyone

    I'm doing really well on my challenge. I've just done my third shop and my total to date is 202.04.
    Week 1 = 67.40
    Week 2=. 72.97
    Week3 =. 61.67

    I've got two more weeks to go in this pay period and my budget is 75 per week total of 375. This is all food household cleaning and pet food for two adults and 1 child and 1 cat. I know a lot of you are brilliant and do it for a lot less but I was spending about 500 per month. For me this is great.
  • I've totted up my spends for this last week and it's £29 exactly. I'd meant to spend no more than £15, so I'm a tad annoyed with myself as some of this was spent on food whilst we were out, so that could have been avoided by taking stuff with us.

    On a happy note, I found £3 in Mr T's carpark yesterday, so I've squirrelled that away in the savings pot :)

    Evening all

    DH went to A*di today - with a list which he stuck to - as it was absolutely bl**dy freezing here today, literally, bless :lovethoug So spend of £15.26 on weeklies.

    He is working nights the morrow and Monday and then off for the rest of the week - so, probably Tuesday/Wednesday we will go to F. Foods (have a voucher to use) and butchers for a stock-up. Have to go when he can come with me with the car, especially the butcher as it's a 25 miles round trip :eek:

    Hope you all have a super Sunday and stay warm and dry

  • Yikes :( Just got back a few hours ago from Mr Ts, went with a hastily written shopping list... major downfall. Hubby is in charge of the food for the week as I have exams and we ended up spending £68.38 :(

    I totalled up everything that was not on the shopping list (it was a fairly small list, hardly any meat as we had stocked up the week before). The cost of the sneaky ninja food was £23.09, which was a third of the shop total!

    Albeit I was mesmerised by the Easter aisle (have not been out of the house for 3 days!) and am experimenting with Terrys Choc Oranges (£1 in Mr Ts!!). Also, was quite excited to find Camp (for iced coffees etc).

    So that brings up my total to £143.49/£200 (will update signature now)... that means 2 weeks left with £56.51. I hope we can do it, cupboards and freezers are fully stocked so it should be possible. Fingers crossed!

    Just about half way through the month. I've just done my meal plan for the week. I need to pop to the shop when DH gets home from DS's football match (hasn't taken his key) i need to check my bank account as I'm wondering if I've missed a receipt, unless we are doing better than I thought!

    I've spent £61 so far out of £120. Freezer is full including a steak pie, a turkey crown and a turkey. Lots of other bits and pieces including tubs with left overs. We need fruit, milk, yoghurt and cheese but that should be it for this week. We are away next weekend for a little trip to Bristol/ Bath so only 4 meals to plan for the week. Today is the T dine in deal yum yum.
    Last night I made pasta sauce with one tin tomatoes, loads of bits of veg from fridge and freezer, a stock cube and half pint water, two big teasp pesto, some marmite, a dollop red currant jelly and a squirt of tomato sauce and finally a teaspoon turmeric. A real dodge podge. Served both of us with some toasted pitta and salad and there is another portion for me in the fridge for tomorrow. We usually have some pasta thing like this on a Saturday night. It's so easy to make up with whatever you have and then it's the one meal of the week where we sit on the settee and watch telly. I freeze YS veg and then put in a handful so this one had mange tout, spring greens and then carrots and broccoli from the fridge.
    Off to read back through the posts as haven't popped in here for a few days. It is always so inspiring reading how peeps are getting on.
