Tonight is LO beef pie with pastry that has been lurking in the freezer, in fact all lunches and dinners are covered up to and including Saturday. Next week will be the test, I have promised DS he can make some meals he likes as an attempt to get him to understand the effort that goes into cooking and maybe be more willing to try things.
2 weeks in. Yesterday slightly messed it up as hubby wasn't feeling great so bought us a "dine-in" I can't decide whether this goes under food or entertainment:o. I have been twice this week, my total spend for the week £45.69, I haven't had hubby's receipts but he will be around £15 if we include the dine-in. Total approx 110/200. Not quite on track so need to plan well for the rest of the month.

I think we can still do it, we have enough to do all meals until the weekend, I have 2 weekly shops still to do, one this Thursday or Friday and on same time next week. I have the "main" part of all next weeks dinners so will need to buy a few ingredients/accompaniments and lunches which shouldn't cost too much. The last one needs careful planning...0 -
Two weeks gone and so far husband spent £119  in week one.
And then last week I had to buy bulky bits like washing powder and which weren't in husbands it will last two weeks (not) shop, so I spent £63.29 but stocked up with lots of pasta, rice etc.
so total so far this month is £182.29/£280. So hopefully all going to plan and even though its halfterm this week we should be ok.
Only need milk and fruit top up.March G.C. £300 fail 🙄

DH and I don't appear to have had a proper evening meal all weekend so I will be cooking our 'dine-in-deal' tonight.
DH asked for some tinned fruit at the weekend which I was happy to use up but I did open a tin of grapefruit that had gone off. No wonder when I checked the date it was 2010  How that has got through the many cupboard sort outs I don't know!
I am away tomorrow night so dinner and lunch on Wednesday will be paid for and DH has plenty of meals in the freezer to keep him going until I am back Wednesday night. In fact our fridge and freezer are stuffed.
I have nothing but bananas and skimmed milk on my shopping list for the weekend and am trying hard to hang on to the £23.01 I have left!Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

DH on last late/night shift then on a few days holiday until next week  He had a three egg omelette with b. beans and tomato for his lunch and used up the lo tuna from yesterday in his pack-up rolls. I'll have the rest of the beans in some HM tomato soup with a cheese toastie for tea.
Hope you all have a super Tuesday and are staying warm and dry

Hmm thought I hadn't spent too much this week but when added up is was just over £90...last week was great though so I'm hoping to make it this month.
Had another go at HM savoury rice, using turmeric this time as suggested by a couple of helpful people on here - it was really good so will be doing that again. :j
Note to self: A1di bacon shrinks to about 1/4 of its uncooked size - avoid!! Their mince is OK but I prefer the chicken from our local butcher, only problem there is it's so nice the kids eat about twice as much.
Meals this week:
- peri-peri rubbed chicken with the savoury rice
- spag bol
- cauli cheese with bacon and mushrooms. Wish the kids would eat mushrooms, but no, so they'll have chicken goujons or something.
- sausage and bean casserole with baked potatoes
- pizzas
Anyone tried A1di frozen cod fillets in breadcrumbs? The ones they have here are called "Northern Catch", only £1.67 for 4. Compared with £4 for the Leading Brand!GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
spends of £24 yesterday, big items like dog food, loo rolls etc. total spends of £126/£200 this month so far. x0

Spent £43.00 yesterday, we'd run out of cereal, coffee and tea bags, laundry liquid and dog food. We were away at the weekend so also bought fresh fruit and veg as there was no time before we went. Tea bags were on a good offer so bought three boxes. We are back to being well stocked now, hopefully will only need one more supermarket shop this February.0

£15.70 spend in Mr W last night. Only went in for their Fat Free Greek Vanilla Yogurt for baking. But Leg of lamb YS from £23.28 to £7.57, and Sea Bass £8.98 down to £3.58. It would have been rude not to
Also Protein order put in. I was going to do it at the end of the month, but 30% off yesterday - saving £22. No brainer really.
Will update sig.:eek:Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
