We had a lovely afternoon on Saturday when friends family came around - little one had a whale of a time with the train and toys we have for our grandkids - lol - someone’s else is better than your own. It was lovely seeing them but not the best circumstances. We went to see friend on Sunday in hospital - so sad but that’s life which is so unfair at times.

We went around to ds after and had tea at his house which was lovely.

Work wasn’t bad today - we went to a tennis club and the children had a whale of a time. I quite enjoyed being out in the sunshine - who’d believe it’s only February...we will feel it when it goes back to normal weather.

I go for my pre-op tomorrow - will be glad when it’s all over.

I’ve not spent much - just bread and milk really since last week.

Your diary is sounding like mine with the bad news on friends, must be something in the air :( Sounds like your friend with the BT is doing well though, sorry to hear about the other one, hope it's not as bad as it seems.

Well done on the weight loss and hope all has gone well with the pre-op xx

We got to the hospital with ages to spare so went a walk along a route nearby called Fairy Glen. It was beautiful - less than a mile and a bit up and down - but the birds were singing and the sun was shining - we passed waterfalls and walked by a babbling brook. Felt like I was on holiday and not going to the hospital 😂 I’d googled places of interest near hospital and it came up with this little gem literally a 5 minute drive from there.
As for the hospital they did all the necessary bloods, ecg and blood pressure etc but I’m no nearer knowing when I’m going in as the nurse didn’t know the surgeons waiting time but pre op last 12 weeks....
She said depending on the time of day I have the op, it might be a day case or a night or so. And because I’ve had a spinal bleed and a slight heart problem I might need to go and see the person who knocks you out (😂😂 I can never spell the real word) before the op. That was a tad annoying as last time I was there I was asked to fill a load of forms in in case I needed to see said person....they hadn’t read the forms until today by the sound of it.

We went out for tea after the hospital to let the traffic die down. I was very good and had chicken, jacket, salad and sizzled veg - polishing my halo as I speak:D:A

My friend who had the brain surgery 8 days ago has been out on a little trip with her daughter today - she posted a photo and looks AMAZING.....considering all she’s been through.
Alas I can’t say the same for my other very close friend.

Spent about £22 today - a cuppa at the hospital, car parking and some fresh food from Aldi on the way home. Dh bought tea :T

:T:Twell done Beanie you can spell the word I struggle to get my tongue around and cannot say :eek:so avoid spelling it at all costs. Yes I know he’ll want to check - the last few I’ve seen have been at the hospital I had the heart tests at so they just pulled the results up there and then...knew about the minor problem and didn’t see too much of an issue, but were prepared just in case.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him to discuss pain relieve as I don’t tolerate many painkillers and have had nerve blocks previously...I just expected them to have read the notes and sorted it for today as it’s not a local hospital. But it’ll be what it’ll be I suppose.
