Thanks to you all - I’ve missed not being here these last few days...

Beanie you will get there - didn’t think I ever would....

I love Wallis, the jeans I bought when I got to my target were from there...alas I cannot fasten them at all now and they are past their best - :rotfl:a bit like me then :rotfl: I was most upset when I tried them on at weekend....And Wallis has shut near me. Will have to investigate in big town

Not much to report. Spend £30 yesterday on tram fare to see my brother and had my haircut - it grew very quickly this time so I’ve had it chopped quite a bit shorter.
I’ve just spent a pleasant hour planting some primula and daffodils in my pots. I know I’ve done it though as my arm is telling me loudly to stop. I wouldn’t mind I was only using a small trowel in soft compost  getting mightily fed up of not being able to sustain doing things.....but things could be a lot worse. I bought the plants at Morrison’s at weekend....I need to keep a check on my plant spending - one of my weaknesses:o
I’m sitting with patio doors open enjoying the sunshine - long may it last.

I can’t believe my friend who had a brain tumour removed on Monday went home this morning.....she is swollen and bruised and pretty sore but is doing amazingly well. I’m in awe of what can be done these days. Also grateful for our NHS, I heard yesterday of someone I know in Florida is waiting for biopsy results for cancer but is also worried how they’ll pay as they recently became unemployed so now has no insurance. They’ve applied for whatever scheme is available to foot the bill but there’s no guarantee they’ll be accepted for it. It’s when i hear of someone i know in a situation like that, i appreciate what we have got - warts an all.

Food wise (whispering in case I jinx it) I’m doing ok....things just seems to be going smoothly and something has clicked into place. I’ve started taking photos of EVERYTHING I eat. It’s making me really think as to whether I want to see loads of empty sweet wrappers or something better when I look back. I’m making a collage each day and recording them on the sw Feb page. It’s also making me present food more attractively so I’m enjoying eating it and savouring it more rather than just shoving it in :rotfl: I’ve had some nice complements too from the other sw fb members.

  • I bet your plants look lovely milann and I hope your arm is feeling more comfortable now. I'd love a little patio type garden myself - ah well! perhaps one day..........

Fantastic news about your friend - you're right about how grateful we should be for our NHS. My friend's daughter lives in the US - her and her husband took out US citizenship some years ago. They are quite comfortably off, but the cost of their health insurance is a real killer as she has had health problems in the past.

What a good idea on photographing your food and I'm glad your SW colleagues have been so positive. Sometimes you have to wait for your brain to click into place with dieting. I know I was messing about for months with it until something just went right this time round and it's all going well at the moment (I'm whispering too so I don't jinx myself!:rotfl:

    Have a good day milann.

Well photographing my food has paid off and i’d only done it since Monday. I went to SW this morning and lost 2 1/2lb so I’m quite happy as I’ve been out for 2 meals since last weigh in :D It just shows it works if I stick to it.

I’ve had a mooch around my town - nothing took my fancy except a couple of little cotton summer dresses for my granddaughters - at £2.99 each I treated them both.

SSG I love my garden - dh has a miniature train in it and we have some buildings. So any plants we put in have to be small to keep it in scale - I have always done the gardening and he’s done the other bits. I’m finding it very frustrating but hopefully once my arm is sorted it’ll be a lot easier. My kids bought us 2 easy chairs which we have near the doors - my favourite place on a sunny day:D

I’ve had a lovely week Wannabe....don’t want to go back to work on Monday......

Thanks Beanie - think I’m still in shock.....I worked it out though - since October when I rejoined it has cost me over £70 to loose that 2 1/2lb:eek::eek::eek: as I lost 1 put it back and last week was the same as when I rejoined:eek: it won’t be going on next week....even if I do get stressed and eat for England when I go for my pre-op on Tuesday....

I know - I’m hoping they’ll give me more of an idea when I might be going in as I can’t plan anything.

Just had a phonecall from my friend’s wife - the one who had the stroke. The outlook isn’t good for him. It’s made me so sad and even more determined to cherish every minute. Anyway she is popping around with her daughter and granddaughter tomorrow (they live way down South and visiting as often as they can) It will do them good to get away from the hospital for a couple of hours. Little one wants to see the trains again as it’s a while since she’s been, so I’ll get all the figures and fairies out I have for our grandkids and she can play whilst we grown ups have a proper chat.
