Just arrived home after a lovely family bbq at my nephews. My youngest great nephew is so funny, he absolutely adores my ds - doesn’t see him very often. But ds never got a minutes peace 😂😂😂 we had a rendition of him playing his euphonium…..he’s only been playing a couple of months, so you can imagine 😍😂😂 and he followed my ds everywhere. He is 9 now so we thought the novelty might have worn off but it hadn’t. I thought the house might be like an oven as the doors had been shut all day but it’s not as bad as I expected. Chilling now for a while 🥂

Went to a family bbq yesterday and had a lovely time. I haven’t seen some of them for a while so was a lovely catch-up.
No plans today other than staying cool and resting after my busy week 👍
I totted up some of the products in my goody bag and if I’d bought it at full price there would be over £50 of stuff. I could get use to Liz Earle cleanser….I’ve never ever bought any expensive beauty products…..I’m not expecting them to work miracles but it will be interesting to see if my skin feels any better by the time I come to the end of the tube. Not sure I’ll be buying any at full price though, unless of course I feel 20 years younger by the end 😂😂

I love Liz Earle products. You can often get them in a deal bundle. I’ve bought a few from QVC in the past when they’ve been on today’s special value but Boots also do good deals.

Not moved out of the house today. Roll on winter ❄️
When we realised the trains home were rubbish on Sunday we had debated staying an extra night and coming home Monday…..I’m so glad we didn’t and came home Saturday instead…..I could do with the air con from the hotel though. 32 degrees in the shaded living room 😳😳 haven’t ventured out to see what it is. I know why I don’t go abroad now 👍👍 forecast 36 here. Glad I’m not in the 40 plus areas 😳😳😳

You don’t want to know how hot it is at the bottom of my garden. Even I won’t sit there today. Must be high 40s easily. The wind is like a hairdryer. I’m loving it though, reminds me of being on holiday.

I dread to think how hot it is out there SA. I was reading that the gritters are out putting sand out on the melted tarmac outside where I used to work. I’m so pleased I’m no in the classrooms which are like greenhouses and horrendous in normal summer weather. Dread to think what it is like today.
