We had a lovely time yet again. We stayed at dd outlaws in Millie. En route we visited a NT site - it was too hot to walk around so we just went around the house and had a cuppa then visited the town local to our host, made famous for its cathedral by a 60’s song. We very nearly didn’t find it. We were very impressed by the park and ride which was free after 4 pm….we didn’t know this, but coincidentally arrived at 2 minutes past 😁 We walked to the pub local to the outlaws answer treated our host to a lovely meal as he has hosted us many years now. The following day we drove to The New Forest - saw the ponies and donkeys roaming free, had a walk along The tall trees route which was just over a mile which was all shade and plenty long enough in the heat. We spent the evening in the garden and ‘the boys’ - average age of 72 were playing with ever increasingly expensive toys……drones and vintage cars 😂😂 Then everyone else arrived Saturday. All I did was play with the grandkids and get waited on. Despite this I’m zonked today. I didn’t drink any alcohol so can’t even blame that. We did have a ride in a couple  of his Vintage cars…..a rover which was so comfortable to a Norman church near to where we’re staying and another ride in a beautiful ruby red Austin 7. I’m no car buff but these were lovely, like something from a period drama 😁 they seemed tiny though, in comparison to today’s cars.
I've not done a great deal today. I am going to do some washing and we’re visiting ds this evening,  he’s doing tea since we didn’t see him this weekend.
My friend can test tomorrow to see if she is now covid free…..she is feeling a bit better…..hopefully she will be free before Friday when the concert is. We might have to adjust the train tickets and hotel or worse case scenario- cancel. She has told me to go ahead without her as we can’t get a refund on the tickets - but it was her present from her family and it doesn’t seem right 😏 I’ll hang on and wait for her results 🤞

Oh fingers crossed on your friend's test!🤞 I do hope she's ok to go!  Love Michael Buble - saw him just before the pandemic - he always gives a good show!
Your trip sounded absolutely fantastic - I'm not surprised though - you and OH always have good times away!😃

Fingers crossed - friend had a negative test this morning so hoping for a repeat performance tomorrow. Can’t say I’m relishing the journey though…..I’m going to suggest she passes the tickets on if she can’t make it as it’s not dhs thing and I’m a tad worried it might be standing - which I’ll struggle with. That thought only entered my head the other evening……do they provide seats for an outside venue ?

Could you take a fold up camping chair, one of those in a bag with a shoulder strap?

SA I’d  struggle carrying a chair with a small case.
I’ve had a lovely day today. I met a couple of friends I used to work with for brunch. One was a teacher and envisaged spending the rest of her working days in the classroom but suddenly decided she’d had enough, and couldn’t spend the next 10 years until she retires in the classroom, has had a complete career change working at minimum wage and looking better than I’ve ever seen her. She’s one of the best I’ve worked with….a real loss in my opinion 😏
From there I went to a stoma support group for coffee and cakes. I had a hand/arm massage which was just lovely. The lady was an x nurse and spent ages with everyone- chatting away as she worked. She knew her stuff as she picked up a condition I have without me saying by looking at my eyes and hands. And asked what op I’d had to make one arm noticeably weaker than the other 👍 It was nice being able to just chat….so they obviously asked these ladies for a bit of talking therapy as much as a massage.
I was bragging that my hayfever hadn’t been bad……it must have heard me as my nose and eyes haven’t stopped itching for the last couple of hours. I’m going up for a shower and chill upstairs. Night night 👍

Friend has had her 2 nd negative so looks as if we’re on to see Micky Bubbles. I should be excited but I can take or leave him and if it’s going to be as hot as they say I’m not relishing a 4 hour train journey. I’m sure I’ll love it once I’m there.
I want a few weeks at home with no sleeping out now…..I hadn’t realised what a home bird I’d become 👍
