I sound very ungrateful- I am incredibly lucky having so many trips out. I feel as if I’m on a wheel of getting ready to go away…..going away…..coming home shattered, recovering and then getting ready for the next trip. I’m doing virtually nothing in the house 😳Think we need to space them out to a weekend a month as first intended. I can’t keep up with the pace — even though we take it very steadily😏January spends - £587.581

It’s a sobering thought and hard to admit it’s time to take the pace back a peg or two Beanie 😳😳 I still think I’m superwoman 😂😂😂 which I’m obviously NOT 😂😂😂
The lady who chatted whilst giving me the arm massage brought it home to me when we were talking…..the body has indeed taken a battering 😳😳and needs some love and attention. No intention of giving in though.
I've just emptied my penny jar and am taking them around to the machine to cash in toward spends at weekend. I know I could bag and take them to the bank myself but tbh what I’d pay in petrol and parking will be more than the percentage they take. I’ve kept £25 of pound coins and 50ps out so it’s just 10ps and under going through the machine.
Just had a lovely chat with rl MSE friend 😁👍January spends - £587.581 -
Over £35 in pennies and £25 in pounds and 50s - so not a bad start to the weekends spends 😁£60 of what feels like free money. I’ve not cashed it for ages because I don’t use as much cash as usual so it’ll be a long time building back up.January spends - £587.581

Think that is about the only cash we use now!

We had an amazing time. We were in the Golden circle which was very close to the man himself. We could have actually been even closer but I parked myself next to a barrier. I leant on the barrier and felt like a flamingo standing on one leg and resting the other on the bar of the barrier. My ankle didn’t enjoy Bath as much I I did 😏
We visited the Thermae Spa which my ankle and I both loved……a rooftop pool of thermal waters, various heat sauced rooms to relax in and another indoor pool with gentle currents that just moved you around. A couple of hours in there and we slept like babies……the best nights sleep 🛌 💤 I’ve had in a very long time.Michael was a real showman and I think I enjoyed it more this time than last. I found him a bit smarmy last time but maybe I’m more used to him now. The venue was only about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We actually spent a lot of time on the tour bus that goes around. It was too hot to walk but a great breeze on the top of the bus, which was open. We did of course have to keep hydrated so lots of visits to cafes and bars 😉 and we met my nephew who treated us to a lovely dinner 😁❤️😁.
We should have stayed last night but the train timetables were horrendous and we’d have spent the day travelling and navigating train changes so we came home last night. We got a refund which for some reason was £40 more each than we expected……in my calculations I hadn’t factored in that Saturday night was more expensive so a nice surprise.
I’ve been after some white trainers for a while so a nifty pair of Sketchers were acquired.
I’m pleased we came home yesterday, we’d done everything we wanted and then I had a message inviting me to a bbq today at a different nephews house to celebrate my brothers birthday…..so life is good and I’m looking forward to some days at home without too many plans 👍
I need to look at finances, but it doesn’t feel too costly a weekend because of the way Id budgeted 👍👍👍😁😁😁😁January spends - £587.582 -
The couple that took us for dinner in Bath handed both myself and my friend a bag each of ‘little bits and bobs of treats’…telling us to open on the train and decide which bits we wanted between us. We got some Liz Earle hot wash, various Clarins samples, mascara, cleansers and face creams and foot masks - I wasn’t expecting that - I thought it was nibbles for the train. Very spoilt 😁 (came from her work staff shop 👍)January spends - £587.581
