I did indeed spend a lovely couple of hours in the garden. Nothing heavy……just trimming a small holly bush with secateurs and replanting an alpine plant around the pond area using a trowel. I was very pleased I didn’t end up in the pond as it’s quite awkward to get to. We have a raised bed with all the plants in and I used to jump up and down it like a mountain goat….it’s only knee high…..my knee and I’m not tall 🤪. I had to use a step and my hip, arm and around my middle feel as if they belong to a 90 year old……in fact I bet there’s many a 90 year olds in better shape than me at the moment. So it’s just as well I didn’t spend the full day in the garden 😳 I hope we get some more days with weather like today….
After reading about somebody on here talking about nearly buying a top from my favourite Cornish clothes shop…..I toddled over to the website for a gander and saw 2 lovely tops…..I put them in the basket. Walked away…..came back and decided I couldn’t justify £80 on tops….as lovely and my style as they were…..as they weren’t in the sale. Especially with a trip to the garden centre planned tomorrow. I would have gone ahead and bought them at one time. I’m learning 😁
I’ve been quite impressed at my attempts at mse this week. I was going to get the car out to nip to M@rrisons - not a lot but too heavy to carry…..so I pulled my Granny Basket out 😂😂……annnnd I cooked everything in the small oven for tea rather than the oven, actifry and hob as I used to do 👍👍January spends - £587.583 -
Well done on resisting the tops, that’s so good. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I given up trying to sleep and come downstairs for a cuppa. I couldn’t get comfortable and Dh is snoring like a guddun…….no amount of nudging or elbowing him has stopped him. He is working tomorrow so I don’t want to disturb him by tossing and turning. So I’ve put the radio on down here and plan to do a bit of garden plant research. I love my tubs by the front door but now we have the motorhome there it blocks the sun so I want to know what will grow well in a container in the shade……might as well research properly instead of 2nd guessing in bed.January spends - £587.582

Done a bit of research but nothing is sinking in at this time of night 😏 Will visit the garden centre tomorrow and see what I can find.
Right going to try to get some shut eye. Night nightJanuary spends - £587.582 -
I had a lovely trip to the garden centre……spends for May have increased but it could have been much more 😏 I have saved all my geraniums from last year in my mini greenhouse. I ended up getting Begonias for my now shady spot…..I’ll see how they go on.It was about 4 am when I finally nodded off…..it’s driving me mad……I ache so much after doing things….but I need to keep going. I took it very easy gardening yesterday. I used my step to get up and down and sat on said step with a cushion on it whilst i pottered. I dread to think what I’d be like if I did any real gardening 😳
I need to update my signature and also pay my car insurance. Dh took it yesterday for its MOT and I’m pleased to say it passed. So I’m keeping it for now.January spends - £587.581 -
Car insurance paid - total spends so far this month £376.
Finally got around to number crunching and last month was £695…..including new specs, Christmas cash put away and card and cash spends. I’ll get most of the money back from my specs once I pin Dh down to help me sent the receipts electronically. So I’m happy with that as I bought a few treats when away 👍
Ive got just over £100in the cash surplus I’ve been squirrelling away ready for my weekend away in July 😁January spends - £587.582
