Anyone got any ideas if I can do anything to mend my phone camera. The top one is with a flash……the bottom one without. It seems to be the flash causing the problem. We’ve (Dh😂 has ) reset the phone and the camera but it hasn’t made any difference.January spends - £587.580

They were very nice Beanie…Hotel Chool@te is my fave. I’ve been very good and only had one a day 😇 but I won’t mention the chips and chocolate brownie I had 😂😂
Im not quite sure how but I stayed the same this morning at SW. I didn’t go last week as we were away….I ate and drank what I wanted whilst away but was reasonably good in between. I think it’s a 1st that I haven’t put on during January- I’m usually eating up after Christmas and think I’ll leave it until after ds birthday which is tomorrow.
Birthday cake is smelling delicious…..chocolate and raspberry 😉January spends - £587.580 -
January spends have jumped a bit. I bought a top in Morrison’s and a few other bits and gave a donation to a fundraiser a friend is doing. £300 now. Next month will be more as I had a lot of food in after Christmas and have used a lot of stock.January spends - £587.580

The cake was delicious…..chocolate and raspberry. We brought 1/2 home with us so it’ll keep us going a few days. We had a delicious meal…..all MSE - a January offer with a special menu before 5pm. We upgraded to fancier steaks - Interestingly ds upgraded to 50 day matured….I upgraded to 30 day and Dh opted for the ordinary rump. They were all good but ds was convinced his was best…..I wasn’t sure it was worth the extra😏 😂😂 We went back to ds and watched a couple of films - I had a cuppa as I was driving, but Dh and ds celebrated with a couple of drinks - so a good day was had by all. We’d intended going for a walk somewhere but twas a tad windy so we ended up trying to secure a fence panel at ds house that was waving around precariously 😳😳 Dh is going back with his drill today to finish the job….I want to catch up on washing and tidying, I’m not sure where it’s come from and everywhere looks very dusty. It’s not long since I did it all either.
I want to do a final look at finances tomorrow. As my paydays are different to when I was working- nothing lines up so I want to clear my cc every week from now on. I don’t want anything mounting up. Plus I want to put Christmas money for my great nephews and nieces away each month….I have 12 so 1 a month 👍
I joined the U3A after Christmas and I’ve just enquired about a couple of groups…..a strolling group and a singing group……I can’t sing but do enjoy making a noise to the radio. I think I’m too late for this months groups as they both seem to be the first week of the month. I’m determined to get myself out of sitting in front of the TV…..which I’m falling into when I’m in on my own. I contemplated offering my services to a nursery I used to work at but I’ve decided against it for now as there still seem to be so many covid cases in schools and nurseries. I’ll reconsider at a later date.January spends - £587.581 -
Enjoy the U3A groups.
However I'd suggest that you don't do anything like offering to volunteer at a nursery - too much like work and could prejudice the ESA claim. If you can volunteer at a nursery they may decide you can work at one....

Great idea about U3A. That’s what I’m going to do when I retire. One of my retired friends joined a couple of the groups and loves them.Good point from peb.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I had wondered about that Peb. The early retirement said I could volunteer for a short time. If I ever do it, it would be on the understanding that it would only be when I was able to do it for a couple of hours……nothing too stenuous. They used to have a pool of volunteers that only did a couple of hours on a rota system. Nothing like work…..no lifting or strenuous stuff allowed.I’ve done the washing today and had a bit of a tidy up downstairs. Just having a chill and cuppa. I’ll do upstairs tomorrow 👍January spends - £587.582

Totally wiped out today for some reason. Upstairs won’t be getting tidied….. afraid it’s a day watching tv and pottering and sorting finances sort of day. I was going to have a go at knitting some chicks that have cream eggs in for the local children’s hospice…..but the muscle I pulled in my shoulder blade a few weeks ago is objecting….😏January spends - £587.581
