I’ve remembered the missing spends. I popped to Morrison’s on Sunday and spent £45. Cc paid in full. Least I’ve paid in a long, long time 😁👍
Spends today we’re £33 - I walked into town and had a break and sit down with a cuppa and jacket potato plus I sent some flowers to relative. Which means my January spends are around £200 - don’t think I’ve forgotten any other spends but if I have they’re not big ones 😁

I’d put the heating on this evening and nothing happened…..except some red lights flashing on the boiler. It is 15 years old and had several repairs over the last few years. The addition of a hive a few months ago seemed to have sorted it…..but it didn’t want to know earlier and we had no hot water. Anyway Dh did a bit of Googling and switched it all off and reset it after about half an hour. So far so good……I had the oven on so downstairs wasn’t so bad but upstairs is a tad chilly. Onebrokelady - you have my deepest sympathy being without heating as long as you have been 😳😳
My phone has also locked up. I never usually play games on my phone but in the cafe this afternoon I did whilst waiting for my jacket potato. The game keeps just keeps showing the little round circle going round and round. I’ve turned my phone on and off but it just comes back to the circle as if something is trying to load. My camera was playing up too…..it takes daytime photos ok but it’s as if the flash doesn’t work properly. I’m wondering if it might be getting time to start looking at new phones……this one is only 3 years old and I don’t really want to. I’ll get Dh to look at it later but he had a zoom booked with some friends and was confronted with the heating as soon as he walked through the door….I’ll let him chill before I confront him with another problem…..I wish I was more tech savvy 😏

Have you tried resetting your phone, that might do the trick.

Thanks SA. I’ve sorted it……I took it out of its case to try to see where the sim was…..not sure what I did but maybe just juggling it around did something. No need to hassle Dh either 😁

  • Sounds like it might need a reset to me too Milann - google your phone model and make and "soft reset" (NOT factory reset!) and you should be able to find out how to do it. I try to remember to close all apps down once a week or so on mine, and do a soft reset every couple of months.

Well done on the low spending month, and fingers crossed that the boiler continues behaving!

We did a reset on the phone. It is working well again but it hasn’t made any difference to the camera…..think it’s had it, but as long as I can take photos in daylight it’ll do. Ds sends me the ones he takes of an evening.
Today will be a tidy up day. It isn’t bad as I gave everywhere a good clean before we went away. It’s ds birthday at weekend. We’ve booked a meal out and will go for a walk near his followed by a film and cake……which I’ll bake on Friday. Tomorrow I want to visit the big town or shopping mall near me…..will decide tomorrow depending on the weather 😁

Well,we didn’t end up going into big city nor the big mall today. Dh was off work and I wanted to go to a chocolate shop located in the big city or big mall….but we decided we wanted to go somewhere with a walk whilst we got said chocolate (for a present) so we headed to another city an hours drive away. We parked just beyond the city and walked in along the river…..it’s where my local river which has its source in my little town enters the sea. I love it there.  We only went in the one shop to get the chocolate……ok I did get a little pack of 6 chocolates for us but at half price would have been rude not to 😉 We walked a bit and had a sit down….I’m totally shattered now though….but a lovely day was had. Not too good for the finances though as my January spends are now £240…..but that includes birthday presents 👍
