The cakes look wonderful @milann. I have a lovely sister and great SIL but they live miles away from us so don't see them that often.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I’ve found the missing present 👍 it was bugging me big time. It’s for dh so I’d have just have given it when it turned up…..pleased I found it in the safe place I’d put it so he wouldn’t find it 😂😂😂 I very nearly didn’t find it 😳😂😂January spends - £587.581

we invariably end up with at least one present that escapes ahead of time - it's a family joke now. Mum has one of last years to come on saturday as it got delayed in the post last year and didn't arrive until well into January!
The cakes and mince pies look fantastic - our cake stays un-iced as it's only for us really, and I don't like marzipan, MrEH does but isn't all that fussed about the icing. I do mince pies like that with the stars too - makes them a bit less heavy with slightly less pastry doesn't it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It does HE…..much lighter than full pastry.HE was it you mentioned the book about eating……what was the title? I know it was something like ‘life after chocolate’
I’m just drying some oranges after simmering in syrup stock - they smell gorgeous 🍊🍊January spends - £587.580 -
It was "Beyond Chocolate" - by Sophie and Audrey Boss. Definitely changed the way I looked at things and fits in well even now with the "unconditional permission to eat all foods" ethos that I try to follow. Lots of emphasis on the point that once a food becomes "forbidden" it is all the more alluring!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Friend has just left. Wine, Chocolates and crisps have been consumed. 🥂🥂The oranges are looking ok and should sit nicely on the top of an orange and almond cake. Just hope we can get to dds and no one has a positive test or lockdowns are imposed.January spends - £587.581
