  • Hope you’re having a wonderful time at the show Milann and your throat holds out too!

I agree about needing a routine too - I was furloughed from April 2020 to August 2021 and decided right from the start that I had to be pretty strict with myself about stuff like turning the TV on else it would be easy to slip into a habit of losing days to it. I found that starting the day with a walk was really helpful as it meant an incentive to make sure I was up and dressed - then home, second cuppa and breakfast and a set amount of time on the iPad before cracking on with other tasks. Just that bit of structure was really useful. We also carried on with setting the alarm at a fairly close to “normal” time so it didn’t come as a horrific shock when we had to return to the commute!

My friend came around and we walked into town and had tea in the Brezzo Lounge. She was also getting over some non covid bug so we both took it easy. Hot choccy and latte rather than our usual bottle of wine with our meal 😂😂 we decided we are getting old 😵‍💫
We did enjoy a Prosecco whilst watching the show though…..they were 50 minutes late starting ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’ so no idea what went on. They were worth waiting for…..no idea how many drifters have drifted off and how many times the line up has changed but they were still good…..even though they changed some notes and timings to the classic songs, I preferred the originals but I suppose they wanted to put their own mark on it. Needless to say my throat is croaky again and needs a rest today.
I went to the gym and for a swim this morning. I only did less than 10 minutes on the rowing machine and the treadmill and then about 20 minutes in the water….a bit of swimming, my physio exercises and some walking in the water. I finished off in the jacuzzi.
So I’m having a dinner break - grated courgette, mushroom, tomato and ham omelette
    This afternoon
    - wait for parcel delivery
    - Empty, clean and put back everything in the final 2 cupboards of the kitchen…..my pan cupboard and plastic box cupboard.
    - make something with leftover pork for tea
    - wash swimming gear

    Tomorrow
    - breakfast cereal and berries
    - go to gym or swim
    - dinner - salad of some sort
    - empty and clean my big display cabinet….or at least start it. I’ve never emptied it before so don’t know show long it’ll take.
    - tea - actifry chips, lamb chops, and garlic mushrooms

    today I am grateful for
    - friends
    - getting round to actually using my gym membership
    - getting near to finishing deep cleaning my kitchen 😁

Glad you had a good time. Sounds like you’ve been productive today. Well done on the gym and swim.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I only completed one of the planned cupboards and I also cleaned under the sink including my bins…I’d forgotten just how much stuff is in the corner cupboard and couldn’t face the cupboard of plastic boxes  after that 😫😫😫
I made a sweet and sour pork from scratch….I haven’t done that for literally years. I love the smell of the vinegar when it’s reducing down……must make it more often. Much nicer than the take away ones which are more sweet than sour 😁
I’ve had a long chat with dd on the telephone which was lovely. I’m going to go down for a couple of days at the beginning of December if I can find some decently priced tickets.

  • Enjoy the swim! Also - HM sweet and sour pork is lovely and I've not made it for years either so thanks for a reminder there - might have to add that to the meal plan for some point in the next month or so! Might have to have a HM chinese fakeaway at some point now I come to think of it!

I did half an hour in the pool…..some swimming, some physio exercises and some walking. This was followed by the jacuzzi and steam room. I could have happily stayed in the steam room until I was prunelike. 😂😂😂 I knew I’d done the exercise though…..muscles have woken up and letting me know their whereabouts 😏
I popped into a shop advertising that you could print your label for Hermes there. The young lad serving looked at me as if I had 2 headstand neither knew what they were talking about…..so I ended up at the post office to post dggs  present. I really should have had it organised for when they were here at half term……but I wasn’t, so that’s £8.95 I won’t see again.
I'm just having a dinner break and watching 1 programme and then emptying my big display cabinet…..I hadn’t thought about having to clean it when I bought it last year.
Dh is working late tonight so just me for tea…..something from the freezer me thinks 😉
Enjoy the fake aways RS and EH 🥡🥢🍹

Unit is sparkling clean 👍 as is the kitchen window and window ledge. Will have my coffee and do 15 minutes tidying the table which has all sorts on it 😏 then that’ll be me done for the day. Easy tea and feet up 👍
