I do like Zizzi but only ever go with Tesco Vouchers 😂😂😂 Ds had the vouchers and I paid them surplus of £ 30 which wasn’t bad as we had 3 pizza, 6drink and 2 deserts between us. The vouchers were just over £30 too.

So today I have done absolutely NOTHING except mooch on here.
I did weigh myself which was not good news - I’ve gone back up into the next stone which I haven’t seen for several years. Not sure if I’m comfort or boredom eating…..more bread, chocolate and cake than I’ve ever eaten. My throat is still sore and I’m just tired. Ive got all sort of plans but my get up and go has just gone. If there was a medal for procrastination I’d get gold. So I need a plan and schedule, me thinks 👍
    Today -
    - have dinner…..sliced beef stir fried with onion, courgette and pepper
    - switch tv off and radio on….get off here😳
    - empty corner cupboard in kitchen - put all crockery in dishwasher. Clean cupboard with bleach solution, air and put everything back.
    - look at cc statement….my new month started yesterday. Pay last month in full 😁(this is part of my finance overall…..I used to wait until last possible moment before paying it)
    -  tea - Jacket potato with hm coleslaw and salad and left over pizza from Zizzi last night
    - keep an eye on snacking 👍
    Tomorrow -
    - breakfast - yoghurt, berries and cereal
     - empty and clean out 3 drawers in kitchen as today
    - make Christmas present list
    - dinner - cold meat and salad butty
    - clean bathrooms
    - tea - something from the freezer with rice
    - try to fit a walk in
    - write Christmas card list and buy stamps

So I’m not the best at sticking to plans which is why I don’t often bother……but I’ve always worked well to a deadline eg getting things done in school holibobs. This doesn’t apply anymore and I feel as if I’m just drifting doing absolutely nothing except when dh is off and we go out. Hopefully having a couple of days planned might help me do something constructive and get in a more productive state.
    Today I’m grateful for
    - antibiotics
    - this site
    - realisation I need to get my backside in gear

You need to be gentle with yourself. If you are still on antibiotics - or just coming off them - then your whole system is upset. If you were completely well, you would be at work. You are on early retirement on health grounds, so you need to cut yourself quite a lot of slack. Lecture over.  :) Take it easy and do a little at a time.
    Credit card One :£926.60( Oct 21 )(Nov 21 vet bill disaster), £999(Jan 22), £974(Feb 22)
    Credit Card Fl :£739.26 (Oct 21)£763 (Nov 21) , £590(Jan 22), £298(Feb 22)
    Savings target C.U.  £1000(£410 Oct 21)(£610 Nov 21)
    Savings target Bank £500  (£10 Oct 21) (£50 Nov 21)(£60 Jan 22)(£80 Feb 22)
Credit Union loan paid off. Now for the funeral plan...
  • Don't forget you are still in the early stages of retirement, you didnt really know until recently that you were retired . Instead of going full pelt into something , do it in 15 min bursts through the day , I bet you get loads done . Another thing we are all doing more socialising at the minute catching up with life and friends . I bet your weight settles down soon, so just watch the snacking as you say.
Wait until you have the camper van then you will be touring the uk and moving about much more discovering new places .
Hope you are feeling so much better now with the antibiotics.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

I do love this site and the folk on it. I had a phone call from a MSE now rl friend to see if I was ok. I am….
I do forget I’ve finished work for a reason and expect myself to be able to keep the same pace I used to….you are both right Scottie and Sunshine. I need to pace myself.
I’ve had dinner - very nice it was too
I switched the tv off and had a singalong with the radio
The cupboard has been emptied - I recently found what I thought was a couple of bits of minute dust in a bowl…..then they started to move😳😳…..I’ve been a bit paranoid ever since but not seen anymore of whatever it was. Never seen anything like it before and don’t want to again 👍Hence the bleach solution. Not only did I empty the corner cupboard….I’ve emptied the spice/oil/condiment cupboard too 😁😁 go me 👍👍👍👍
I’m just going to have a cuppa whilst the cupboard is airing then put them all back. I can’t believe it’s a year since I’ve done my cupboards out as I’ve not really touched them since we had them fitted. They didn’t look bad though.
I’ve just had an invite to go to an afternoon coffee and cake do at a local  hotel by the providers of my medical stuff. Apparently there will be a free hand massage and a chance to do a Christmas craft whilst meeting folk with the same medical condition. I might just go as I’m not doing much else that day…..it’s mid December. If it’s no good I won’t go again.

Friends of mine who’ve been retired for years still haven’t got round to doing half the things on their to do list. You’ll find your groove plus you’ve got the motor home to look forward to.

The moving creatures will be weevils, they like things such as flour and rice. I came home from work one day to find DD had thrown out the entire contents of my food cupboard and disinfected everything after finding one in a bag of flour.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Maybe you could look into some form of gentle volunteering?
Or a craft group? A book group?

I will Beanie. I should have gone to a U3A craft group for the 1 st time last week….but true to form - life got in my way….there’s no way I could have gone with my bad throat….didn’t want to share 😏 Hopefully the beginning of December 👍
I’ve half an idea to volunteer where I used to work a couple of jobs back…..but not done a lot about it yet. I don’t even know if they’re accepting volunteers atm with covid.(😂😂that doesn’t read right - not sure if they’re taking any volunteers with or without Covid 😂😂)
Thankfully I have seen no sign of any more moving dust….I’ve decanted and cleaned some tubs with food in to check as I had wondered if they were weevils. It was the fact they were in an empty dish that freaked me out. All crockery has been through the dishwasher. How did they get in an empty dish I only use for mass catering - where from 😳😳I’ll work around the kitchen cupboard by cupboard…..see I’m pacing myself 😂👍

The bathroom is soaking in a bleach solution- I’ll go up and rinse and polish everything later 😁 The contents of the cutlery drawer is in the dishwasher and I’m about to put the remaining crockery back into yesterday’s cupboard and take the contents of my other 2 drawers out, wipe, air and replace.
😂😂 yesterday’s food plan for today went out of the window straight away. I got the yoghurt out and realised there was penicillin in it…..and I’m on my last day of it from the doctor so didn’t want more 😳😳 it must have been open longer than I realised 😵‍💫😳😰and was suitably furry 🤢
    Today
    - breakfast - porridge and blueberries
    - complete sorting low corner kitchen cupboard
    - clean and sort 3 drawers
    - dinner - beef stir fry as yesterday to finish beef off (twas a pack of Aldi beef off cuts and was better than some beef I’ve had that was supposedly top notch)
    - sit and watch a bit of catch up tv…..working my way through Waterloo Road.
    - write a Christmas list
    - pay cc which didn’t get done yesterday
    - tea - filled pasta which is on its sell by date with pasta sauce I made on Sunday

    Tomorrow
breakfast - egg, bacon, mushroom and tomato…..maybe a slice of wholemeal toast
    - clean and sort fridge/freezer……make shopping list from findings instead of shopping blindly which I’ve been guilty of recently
    - do something with dh - depending what we do and the weather will be dinner out or salad
    - again depending on what we do tea could be rice and a tub of something from the freezer

    Today I’m grateful
    - my throat isn’t as ‘scratchy’ even though I’ve still got a bit of a cough, so hopefully finally on the mend
    - new found motivation
    - the radio
