We’ve been for a ride this afternoon to decide how we will pick it up….they only do midweek handovers and it’s about an hours drive away on the motorway- I don’t do motorways. The plan is Dh will go into nearest big town on the train and get a taxi out to the dealership. He will bring it home and we will pack it up and go for 2 nights away in Wales in it - courtesy of the dealership. They have workshops by the campsite and if there are any teething problems - they sort them there and then 🤞 hopefully we won’t need to use them. Well mid November will put it to the test good and proper 😂😂 - hope the heating works 😂😂 We had a lovely couple of hours in the town near the dealership - we walked the Roman wall and sat by the river watching the world go by. We had tea on our way home. Lovely unexpected day.I’m off to bed now as I’m shattered and have a busy day tomorrow.
I'm going out into the big city near me to meet a couple of MSE friends….exciting 😄January spends - £587.583 -

Great news about the motorhome, the wait is over. Have a lovely time today. I've only ever met one MSE person in real life and I haven't seen or heard from her since either privately or on here - that's the effect I have on people 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

@milann As I get older, I am less and less inclined to use motorways. I used to hear other people saying that years ago, and wonder what on earth they were talking about. I feel trapped on them, lorries driving right up to your rear bumper, other cars driving ridiculously fast in the rain, and a general feeling of helplessness when the traffic comes to a grinding halt- as it often does in Central Scotland.
I wish you many years of happy driving in your motor home!Credit card One :£926.60( Oct 21 )(Nov 21 vet bill disaster), £999(Jan 22), £974(Feb 22)

If your heating on the van is anything like ours (think there are only a few major brands so the likelihood is that it is) then it will be toasty warm in the van.
You have remined me, we need to send ours back under warranty early in the new year. Our heating and hot water should work on gas and electric when plugged in but the electric side isn't working. Think it is just a couple of heating elements that need replacing but may as well get the dealership to pay for them while it is under warranty.1
