I know Beanie….gave me a bit of a wake up call when I looked at it that way. I also realised I hadn’t asked for the over 60s rate when I went to this new class….I sure did yesterday….I’m giving it to the end of this 7 weeks to see what the outcome is. I have booked a week off for my birthday week 👍 I have all the best intentions 😂😂😂 that said I am just waiting for my friend to pick me up and we are going out for a Greek meal…..I want to loose weight but have no intention of turning invitations down…..there’s been too many time I’ve been unable to go out because of illness. Life is for enjoying as well as money busting and dieting. I just need to get the balance right 👍January spends - £587.582

I had a lovely time being a Lady Wot Lunches with my 2 friends from my last but 1 job. Wasn’t SW friendly and cost me a tenner for meal and drink but was worth every penny. We went with the lunchtime menu - I had chicken, cheese and pesto panini with salad and chips. In my defence I brought half of my panini home for dh as I was absolutely stuffed. We had a good laugh and put the world to rights. It’s only a couple of months since I last saw my friend…..made me realise how lucky I was and all the things they tell you when you go in hospital can actually happen 😳😳😳😳 Her mum is in her 70s, active and spritely, had tummy problems which her GP didn’t seem concerned about over the phone….her intestines perforated the same day. She is in a real mess now with all sort of things going wrong and she will be a lucky lady to make it home again…..made me realise just how lucky I have been after perforations I have had. It could have easily been me 😵💫Anyway there are some quite good charity shops where we went (no proper shops though) my friend wanted some dvds for her mum to watch in hospital so we planned to look around some. All 3 of us came out loaded up. My gdd is into Harry Potter so I bought 3 books from the series for 50p each, a game of Pictionary that doesn’t look as if it’s been used and a game called The Train Game which is a bit like trivial pursuit with trains and a map of England….the bags containing some of the bits were still sealed. Dh and myself have spend a couple of hours this afternoon trying to suss out the rules and playing a simpler version. I think we will adapt the rules to suit ourselves as they’re very complicated and the game could last forever if played as suggested. The gks are really getting into board games so it’s good to have some in for when they stay, although the Train Game will be for when they’re a lot older. We didn’t make it to any of the other charity shops. Bet they were glad we went in there.
My September spending month started yesterday. My September spends £20
I will do some number crunching for my final August spends later….think I’m head in the sand mode as it’s more than I’d intended 😏😳January spends - £587.582 -
My August spends worked out at £420…this was with having dd and gks here for a week and the extra shopping and treats that involved. Over what I had coming in and it ate into my savings but it was a bit of a special week so I’m happy with that.
My September spends are now £36.50 as we went out yesterday to a NT place in Wales and then for a walk near Snowdon - pity it was so cloudy as we couldn’t see the top of some of the mountains. We travelled through one of my favourite roads (as long as I’m not driving) between the mountains- it was dusk and there were a LOT of folk in tents setting up by the roadside for the night. They’re braver than me 😳😳 There was also fields of folk meeting for some mega mountain running race…..oooh to have the energy…..I walked along a flat path half way along a lake at the base of the mountains and am totally done in today. We stopped at a small town where there is a lovely waterfall and planned on a take away pizza to share….the queue was around the block so we didn’t bother. We ended up at the chippy and shared. None of us were very hungry but needed a bit of something. So a lovely day. Won’t be doing much today 😁January spends - £587.584 -

I ended up nipping out for a pair of trainers. I’m going to an exercise class led by the physios tomorrow and I’d forgotten I’d thrown my old ones that I’d had years out when we had the building work done. They were so uncomfortable I hardly wore them. I’ve gone for a pair of plain black sketchers which seemed very light and comfortable in the shop. I’m hoping the shoe goblin doesn’t visit making the into items of torture as he’s done so many times before….. Another £40 to my September total now £76.50.January spends - £587.582

I had a restful day yesterday apart from a quick trip to get trainers….1 shop and the only pair I tried on…..must be a first…..another lazy morning recovering from my lovely day out on Saturday and conserving my energy as I’m not quite sure what this exercise class will entail. Not sure why but I’m quite nervous about it as it will be with other people. it’s in the town centre so I was going to have a bit of a mooch around but I really want a NSD as I need to keep the spends down especially after my splurge out on trainers yesterday. My neighbour of 20 years backing on to us suddenly moved out over the weekend - no for sale board up and the 1st anyone knew was when there was a couple smiling at us over the fence and introduced themselves saying they’d picked the keys up that morning. They’ve got 2 dogs so I’m hoping they are well behaved pooches that don’t bark too much 😜January spends - £587.583

What a beautiful photo. I wonder why the neighbours were so secretive about moving.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Beautiful photo Milann. I wear sketchers to work and find them really good shoes. That happened with our next door neighbours, the funny things is they rented the house of his dad but they moved out one weekend without telling the dad or anyone else, there had been some arguments in the family between the sons wife and his mother so I'm presuming it was because of that, his Dad can be a nasty piece of work so I'm surprised he did it to be honestOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942
