Waiting in for 2 people coming around to give quotes....the one who should have come yesterday changed his times twice then didn’t show 😡......it was awful weather though so if he gets back in touch he can make another appointment but I’m not chasing him 😡January spends - £587.581

So we’ve had 3 quotes for the levelling and fencing.....1 can start this week as soon as he can secure a skip 😀 so he has the job. I’m just hoping he shows as he said. He was actually the cheapest but seemed to know what he was talking about....and we’d decided to have him before he gave the price we thought he’d be the most expensive but was £1200 cheaper than the dearest....he is even putting some drainage in. There were plenty of puddles out there as it was absolutely chucking it down when he came.....so he saw it at its worse.
Ds came around yesterday to help us move a bit more soil into bags. It was an unexpected surprise and I managed to rustle tea out of the freezer.....hm moussaka and wedges which was lovely. We went around the corner to B&M for a cheesecake for pud.....the freezers were virtually empty and ds said the freezers have been taken out of his store. I asked the cashier about them and she said they’d be gone by next week. I’m not sure why they’re getting rid of them - they were so handy rather than having to go in Morrison’s across the carpark 🤔😢Today will be a bit more pottering in the garden....I want to get as much as possible done before the fence man comes. Later on we are taking the bags of soil around to ds house and having tea there.
A busy day tomorrow. A swim, haircut and telephone consultant appointment.....all before 1.30 😲👍 think I’ll collapse in a heap during the afternoon 😂😂😂January spends - £587.585 -

Good to see you HN and Everyone else 👍
So today I am having a tidy up downstairs before I go out for a swim at 10.30. I could well be in total shock by this afternoon as dh had to go in work earlier and I got up straight away 👏 I haven’t done that for a long long time. 😂😂😂 it’s not 9 am yet and I’ve had breakfast and am raring to go. I am aiming for 6 lengths of the pool today but no jacuzzi as I have to be back for a haircut. Then I can chill whilst waiting for a consultation with hip doctor. I might go out and pack a bit of soil for use in the back garden at a later date. But my arm has been sore as all the activity is catching up with me. We have shipped a total of 30 bags to ds and the back garden already and a neighbour is also after some.....he could well be told there’s the soil and bags - help yourself.
We had a ton of limestone chippings delivered a couple of years ago for the railway and we still have half a bag in the front.....that can’t stay there so.....myself and dh will be filling every receptacle we can fill ready for a new storage home along the side of the house.......once it has been levelled.....whose bright idea was it to get a motorhome and keep it in the front garden 😳😳😳😳 I have a tiny Tupperware jug that the children had as a picnic set when they were little- it’s perfect for me to scoop the stones - so nothing heavy involved for me....but some good arm exercises 👍
Right I’m off to get something done or my extra early hour or so will be lost on here. 😏January spends - £587.582 -
I didn’t manage my 6 lengths....just about made 4. It really took it out of me today.I’ve had my hair cut....it might have lasted another couple of weeks until I came back from dds but I’m glad I had it done as my hairdresser starts jury service just as I come back.I spoke with the consultant and am on the list for another steroid injection.....he wants to keep me going with a couple a year and was talking time scales for hip replacements 😲🙉🙉🙉🙉 I’m happy to keep going with the steroid injections as long as possible.
My friend should have been coming around tomorrow but has cancelled as she has a chest infection.
Skip is coming tomorrow afternoon and work on the fences and ground levelling will commence on Wednesday. I’ve also got a central heating man coming around tomorrow to look at the boiler. It’s been temperamental for a while and the thermostat hasn’t been talking to the boiler but it’s not been working at all over the weekend....thank goodness we’ve had the fire to put on in the living room. It’d be just my luck to need a new boiler....why couldn’t this have happened before we had the kitchen sorted.January spends - £587.582 -
Good news about the garden and fencing.3

I’m very excited - I have a skip.I can rrelax a bit now as I half expected it to arrive half way through the telephone conversation with consultant 😃January spends - £587.583

I have heating again.....bliss......who’d have thought you’d need heating at the end of May.
Thankfully the boiler is fine and it was the thermostat not talking to the boiler. He’s fitted us a hive.....which dh and already bought and was going to fit himself but didn’t want to go ahead until he’d had the boiler checked. £50 and he was here an hour and a half....which I thought was pretty good 😀
So a working heating system and a skip in the garden.....how good can life get 😂😂😂January spends - £587.584
