That is so bad. Can you take a photo of the damage to include it in your complaint, along with the timeline of when you complained and when they kept telling you to persevere?
Same for me with hobbycraft, it’s a 5 hr round trip, but the free postage is dangerous!

Thanks everyone. It’s quite hard to get a photo as it’s quite deep in my ear. It’s frustrating the heck out of me because I can’t actually see it 🤔🤔🤔🤔

I always avoided Hobbycraft as I thought it was expensive for wool. But after my experience of the Aldi wool going very fluffy decided to go to a localish independent shop for wool (yarn) for cardigans for my gdds. It was over £3 a ball making for expensive items and thankfully they didn’t have the shade I wanted. I’d ordered some then remembered Hobbycraft, so popped in en route to home. It was £2.40 a ball buy 3 pay for 2.....£1.60 a ball which apparently washes beautifully and is endorsed by the WI.  So at virtually half the price....I cancelled the order from the shop....which I felt bad about but it was a big price difference for same quality. Fortunately or unfortunately 😏🤔😏 Hobbycraft is in town which is in walking distance or short car ride. I’ve got enough to keep me busy for a good while so I am banning myself from anymore craft things. Plants and craft things are what helped get my finances in a mess many years ago....if these last couple of weeks are anything to go by - I’m not sure how much of a lesson I’ve learned 😳😳
I also bought some tops from Matalan this week.....a lovely lady on here pointed me to some longline flared t shirts at £6.....so I ordered those and some prettier nice flared tops I found on their website. Another £50 gone, it’s very easy to get carried away on t’internet. I want some new jeans.....I’m going to try maternity ones from Next - if they’re no good I’ll send them back. Then I NEED to stop spending as I’ve already taken a big hit on my wages and I know another hit is on the horizon.
I’ve had  a telephone appointment through with the doctor who did the surgery on my tummy in a couple of weeks.......it’s been a long 6 weeks 😲😲 which is when they said they’d send for me......7 months. I suspect he’s had a letter from the occupational health, but I do realise how busy the hospitals have been and had there been major problems would have contacted them so I’m not complaining. I was grateful to be seen and treated so quickly as an emergency when it happened.
My cc bill is the biggest it’s been for a very long time this month but it has my car insurance and gym membership on it. I will pay in full then am trying to keep my monthly spends on to around £250, which should be easy enough if I watch what I’m doing and stop being frivolous. I use my cc for everything and pay it off every month. Most of the bills go out through ds account. We’ve always done it that way....he paid the bills and I paid for food, children’s things and extras. It’s always been flexible though 👍 I’ll be pleased when I know how much I’ll getting each month once I know about the retirement.

Sorry to hear about the hearing aid debacle milann. Sounds so painful. What is it with these practitioners who won't listen! It's the same with glasses - sometimes you know you're not going to get on with some lenses but they keep telling you that 'you'll get used to them!'  Makes me so mad!🤬
Fingers crossed you'll hear soon about your retirement and can finalise your budget.

What a nightmare with the hearing aids and very bad customer service 😡 It was Specsavers who insisted Mr SA needed varifocal glasses instead of free reading ones. It’s a good job I was there as he had already accepted them. I had to explain to them that they’d be broken in days due to his falls plus he never uses his free reading glasses so why pay over £100? Definitely complain it’s just not good enough.

Hi Millan, Can I ask a question please on hearing aids. Are they provided on the NHS or not. I have an acoustic neuroma which is a type of non-cancerous (benign) brain tumour. It's also known as a vestibular schwannoma. It is making me deaf in one ear. Every time I go for my review (following MRI) with consultant they ask if I want a hearing aid. I have so far said no so have never really been advised of the process. Just wondering if I need a budget for this going forward? Many thanks

I’d planned on meeting a friend today who has just moved quite close to me but she’s been called into work. So a bit of tidying, crochet and maybe a swim if there are any free spaces later. I might even get my sewing machine out as I have a few outstanding jobs to do. In other words I could end up doing anything 😂😂😂😂
