I’m definitely going to look into readily as I’m on a crochet site and people are using the patterns from crochet books. Patterns are so expensive to buy. But I want to finish the things I have on the go before I get distracted 😂😂😂 I don’t need any more distractions.
Talking of finishing...... I’m quite pleased with them. I used the leather dye yesterday.....sewing is complete. A new lease of life for £15 😁.  BUT I’m never planning of renovating them again

The builder came back this morning to do a bit more pointing- he is nearly finished. He will come back in a few days to wash it all down once it has completely set. As he was going he asked for some cash.....we’ve already paid him some. I said I didn’t know he was coming so I needed to go to the bank. He said he’d call in on his way home......I said I might not be in as I had quite a few things to do and he’d have to pop in again. He phoned me as I was in the bank......bet he manages to come tomorrow to pick it up. We’re holding the last £100 back until he has finished. He’s actually a nice lad but the boss keeps sending him to different jobs....apparently. The guy who should have come with to look at the uneven flags - a friend of said builder didn’t show - so I don’t think our builder was too chuffed and has said he will do it for me....watch this space.
This afternoon we have been and paid for our funerals - hopefully it won’t be needed for a long time so should save us some money long term and save the kids a lot of hassle.
We took some unopened paint back to B&Q and I looked at plants......big mistake......my weakness. Anyway the back of the car was full of plants. I’m going to enjoy myself planting up 😀😀 I spent more than the can of paint I took back but last year I struggled getting bedding and alpine plants. They will give me a lot of pleasure, both planting and watching them grow. I bought compost and seed potatoes too to plant in builders sacks. I love this time of year 😀
I had a friend on the phone last night for 2 hours 😲 her mum died not long ago and I knew she was in a bad way so I’ve been messaging her but heard nothing back. Anyway she’d been admitted to hospital with MH problems, she sounded so much better than when we last spoke. I didn’t have the heart to hurry her as she was telling me a lot of important stuff. It was so sad as she is a joker and will do anything for anyone. A bit like the song - tears  of a clown......
I’ve posted some copies of letters to the pension folk from various doctors so will see what happens on that score.
All in all a busy day or so
