πππ Oh dear πππ No idea how on earth I did that as I hadnβt even been reading my old diary. At least I hadnβt rambled on somebody elseβs.....no hope Iβm afraid

I went for a walk with dh this afternoon - thereβs a new coffee van in the local park so we thought weβd try it out. It was very nice but I wonβt be going again - Costa prices in a take away cup. Iβll stick to my usual cuppa for Β£1 at the place I went yesterday or take my flask.
I popped into Aldi for a couple of bits and a big ball of Aran wool jumped into my basket all by itself. Anyway Iβve just ignored all the projects I have on the go or am waiting to start......repairing my chairs - 1 back left to do, knitting a cardigan for gd....Iβve done the back, knitting a jumper for myself - Iβve done the back and part of the front and renovating the dolls house - crocheted blanket for the bed and making bunting for gks - not started yet BUT I started crocheting a granny square blanket for my neighbour who is expecting in the summer. Itβs by far my favourite hobby as I can do it without even thinking about it. Looking pretty good so far. Iβll have it finished fairly soon as itβs in Aran. Iβll need 30 squares and Iβve done 8 today but had to stop as my arm is aching. I will not start anymore projects until Iβve finished what Iβve started.........January spends - Β£587.582 -

We went to the bank today and whilst there walked along the canal and had a cuppa from a lovely little take away cafe on a barge. We had it in the park by the side of the canal and it was lovely with spring flowers and a couple of squirrels amusing us and it was only a couple of miles away from home. At least this pandemic has made me appreciate what is on my doorstep.ΒNot sure whatβs got into me as Iβve tossed and turned and watched to clock get to 4 a.m. before Iβve nodded off the last couple of nights. Hopefully itβll be better tonight. I need my beauty sleep πJanuary spends - Β£587.581

I gave the builder a piece of my mind Beanie π‘ I fully accept things can be held up with weather but really feel theyβre taking the mick now......think he can wait a few days for his cash - play him at his own game......I was going to go to the bank but something cropped up and I couldnβt make it π³January spends - Β£587.581 -

How annoying about your builder π‘ . My builder always turns up when he says he will so it shows it can be done! I hope he doesn't let you down again.
Your walk with your friend sounds lovely π. I'm really looking forward to going to more varied places after lockdown. I've only been to school or the supermarket since Christmas (apart from the vaccine centre) and I'd love to go somewhere different for a change. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hairy we are quite lucky - we have quite a few places that are a walk or very short drive away.....10 minute tops. Quite a few now have takeaway drink outlets....although thatβs not too good for the bank balance.
I'm pleased to report a better nights sleep and a very lazy morning with breakfast in bed watching The Unforgotten. Iβm half way through series 3 and quite enjoyed it.
Next door is a corner house and there is a massive hedge around it. Anyway he is in the process of chopping it down. Itβs made our house a lot lighter. No idea how he is going to get rid of the bushes - his garden is full of them piled up. Rather him than me trying to get the roots out - they must have been in since the houses were built in the 30s as theyβre literally like tree stumps.ΒWe have considered taking our bushes out from the front of the house but Iβm not sure.....we have a small wall below the bushes and weβve been quoted Β£900 to rebuild it. Itβs looking very unstable atm but I can think of better things to spend Β£900 on π²
A NSD today and Iβll pay my cc in full later(I donβt class that as a spend as Iβve already counted the spends onto the card) I might do the census whilst Iβve got the computer out as it says you can do it in advance - Iβm not planning anybody moving in overnight and hopefully we will both still be here tomorrow πJanuary spends - Β£587.582
