OBL and the brighter weather and once you’ve had the X-ray and blood results as I suspect they’re on your mind. I know what I’ve been like when I’ve been waiting for various tests.
Tomorrow is a virtual meeting with head teacher and HR, I’ve got the union lady involved. I still feel a combination of sad, a bit concerned about the cash......got over 4 years until my state pension and excited too. Then a trip to the building society to update our passbooks as some cash has transferred followed by a trip for my vaccine....so a busy day.
On Friday I’m supposed to be going for a walk with a really good friend I haven’t seen since last March....hopefully I’ll be ok after the vaccine. 🤞January spends - £587.582 -
I hope you don’t get a reaction like mine to the vaccine. Mr SA was fine though. Unbelievably I’ve had yet another letter telling me I’m eligible to have a vaccine this time as an old codger not an unpaid carer 😆☹️ Good luck with the virtual meeting 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Don't underestimate the stitching that you are achieving. Most things mass produced these days are lucky to last a couple of washes. 60 yrs ago (when I was approaching 15) I would have been embarrassed to turn out seams like they do now & my mother always used to tell me I didn't finish seams properly. I've not done much upholstery sewing but I know from experience it is not the best for your hands so don't try to do too much of it in one go. Slowly, slowly catchee monkee!!

Thanks everyone- sitting here getting stressed about the technology working as I log onto the meeting.....not worried about the actual meeting. I couldn’t work in an office 😂😂😂January spends - £587.581

So meeting finished. Next step is form filling and they contact consultants and GP for reports and get an independent doctor involved before it goes before the pensions people for a decision. If the decision is no - I can go back to work or they’ll finish me saying I am not fit, if yes I’ll see how much my pension will be. They have no idea how long it will take. Apparently it can be tricky to get pensions people to agree to early retirement.January spends - £587.581

milann said:It’s just a pity there wasn’t better material on the backs and sides of the chairs in the first place. I hadn’t realised just how bad they looked until I saw the old material next to the new black material 😳😳 If you were to inspect closely the stitching is awful but I’ll hopefully get another couple of years out of them. I tried to do a bit more this afternoon but my arm was sore so had to stop.
Had a bit of a lazy day as I’ve been tired...couldn’t settle to much so have spent far too much time mooching on the computer. All that clutter used to be money1 -
Thanks Chezza - I might look into that 👍January spends - £587.581
