It was a surprisingly sunny day yesterday so we went a walk along the river. We travelled 5 minutes in the car where a beautiful park with a tall rock garden and meadows which are beside the river. It is walkable from here but just beyond my abilities atm - I’ve done it many times before. The spring flowers and rock gardens were lovely but the meadows still had some flooding from the other week where they opened the floodgates. It was quite spooky in parts and I expected the creature from the dark lagoon to appear 😂
Dh bought us an ice cream.....I won’t be buying from there again £7 for 2 cornets with a flake then dipped in a bit of sherbet.....50p extra for a dip of sherbet 😳😳 Am I just showing my Scrooge side or is that the going rate. Mmmmmm.....don’t expect it was sw friendly either but it’s just what we fancied. I lost 1 1/2 yesterday 👍
I’ve  just been gifted a gorgeous dolls house form a neighbour for the gks. Their daughter is 12 and having her room revamped so I think there may well be some other things heading my way 😀 I’ll put some cash in an envelope for the young girl as her mum insisted she didn’t want anything for it 😀😀
Heading over for a walk and curry night with ds.
Then tomorrow the carpet will arrive.....dh is on a big job tomorrow and will need to leave early and won’t be home until late. I’m wondering if I can re-assemble the shelving units myself ( they’re not heavy) or if I’ll need his help. I’m itching to get the room back together complete with new dolls house 😀😀 I’d probably be better off sorting out some of my craft boxes ready to go back on the shelves. I’ve got such plans of card making and scrapbooking again once everything is organised 😁 I’m suspecting a lot of my glues and pens will have dried up as I haven’t used them for a long time.
    Well that was a ramble and a half.....MSE - I haven’t spent any cash this weekend 👍

£7 for 2 cornets 😱😱Well done on the weight loss. The GKs will love the doll’s house. Lovely idea to pop some cash in an envelope for the young girl, I’m sure she’ll appreciate it.

We had a lovely walk with ds yesterday. There’s a network of paths along a disused railway right at the back of his house. We took a different path to usual and ended up at a local country park. It was a lot closer than I expected as to drive you have to go into town and out again around bendy lanes, but was really surprised how close it was down the paths. Had a cuppa, rest and walked back. As my strength improves I might get to walk around the park at some point too. But there and back was more than enough yesterday.
The carpet fitter has just arrived so I’m looking forward to seeing the carpet down, I don’t think I’ll be moving shelves around today as I feel really tired and I’ve been having a bit of a complication after the surgery I’ve had. It’s turning out every few days I need to stay close to a loo.....today is one of those days.....it is what it is.
The heating is playing up too.......it’s blooming freezing in here. There’s an intermittent fault and the boiler isn’t talking to the remote thermostat. Dh seems to be able to sort it but I can’t do it......and I can’t get the living room fire to click on either. So I’m snuggling under a blanket with the oven on......but the sun keeps trying to sneak out so hopefully it’ll warm up.  I might nip and get some stewed steak and make a stew whilst warming the house up with the oven 👍

Builder phoned about an hour ago....apparently he is on his way around. Didn’t say where he was coming from or which scenic route he was taking. Getting mightily fed up.
Carpet looks good but the door is very stiff 😏

Boo to the heating playing up, mines always been very temperamental when it gets really cold which of course is just when you need it to work 🙄. Run the stuff door back and forwards over some sand paper to smooth a bit off. The walls you've been on sound lovely 😊

Builder is here. Hopefully it’ll be finished today too. Tomorrow the vinyl fitter will be coming to look at the bubble in it.
I’ve just cleaned the window in the newly decorated bedroom. It’s only small but I’m done in. Any plans I had of sorting things out will have to wait. Shattered.com. I’m not making stew either as I won’t be going out today.
