I thought I’d done really well sorting the photos into rough categories- will sort more thoroughly at a later stage...I went upstairs and I’d put a box on the chair in my bedroom and forgot about them when I answered my phone.....so I’ve just been through another box and have to find the relative piles in the boxes I’ve just sorted 😲
Weve just had the steak and chips I’d bought for Valentine’s Day but we ended up doing Chinese instead when ds said he’d come around. It melted in the mouth. I made a mushroom sauce but putting a couple of spoonfuls of garlic Philadelphia with chopped mushrooms in foil. It was to die for. We’ve not had any pancakes yet as were both stuffed. The £15 meal deal was brilliant value from Morrison’s 👍 Still got the starter of mussels which dh will have a main course I can’t abide them and a side of cauliflower cheese for another day. I’m finishing the wine as I speak - cheers 🍷January spends - £587.582 -
Not sure if I can cope with the excitement. I’m meeting a lady from work and her dog for a socially distanced walk to the place where I saw the kingfisher a couple of weeks ago. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 The sun is shining. We won’t be out too long but it will be so lovely to catch up.January spends - £587.582

My walk was lovely - the dog was so funny - a 6 month old labradoodle. Really scared if anyone or anything approached hIm but once they’d passed was very brave and tried to run after them. He thought he’d try his luck with a cow 😲 but was petrified of other dogs😂😂 A good job he was on a lead all the time. We had a good catch up and put the world to rights and I was filled in with all the gossip from work.....although since nobody mixes out of their class there wasn’t that much to tell. I walked the furthest I’ve walked and have been fit for nothing since. Just had a long chat with dd on the phone and have been sorting the photos into more categories. I had intended to empty another couple of shelves in the bedroom but just had no energy after my walk. He’s coming to decorate next week so we will need to get a wriggle on when dh is off work from tomorrow.Tomorrow we need to take a birthday card to dh great niece and we will have a walk along the big canal we walked along a couple of weeks ago....weather permitting. I haven’t seen the forecast yet.January spends - £587.583

We posted the birthday card through dh great nieces door and had a social distanced chat and got to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday. Then we walked part of the walk we walked a couple of weeks ago 😂😂😂we thought we’d go off the track away from the busy road and through a housing estate which had a footpath back to the track once it was away from the main road 😲😲 on the map it looked ok......in reality we had to negotiate brambles and old mattresses and bricks and all sorts of unmentionable rubbish 😳 but it was a little adventure for 10 minutes 😂😂😂 at least it wasn’t crowded 👍The rain came down quite heavily and we thought we’d get very wet but it passed over pretty quickly. So our walk was shorter than previous but we still got to greggs for a cuppa and a sandwich on a outdoor seat by a busy roundabout Felt like a posh meal out 😂😂😂😂😂😂 we know how to live. I couldn’t have managed as much as we did last time after my walk out yesterday. I’m sitting having a cuppa before I drag dh upstairs to empty a bit more of the front bedroom.
I spent a lovely half hour showing the gks old photos if their mum over zoom this morning. It was quite funny as they thought several were of themselves.Dh is making tea tonight...years ago he made chicken livers and mushroom in sherry - I was never keen but he saw chicken livers last time we went shopping and is eager to have them again....wonder if I’ll enjoy them more since I haven’t had them for years.....watch this space 😏January spends - £587.583 -
The verdict on the chicken livers - delicious 😋
Another NSD today but I’ve lost count of how many I’ve had 😏
The front bedroom is now empty and lots of the wallpaper is off. It pulled off in complete strips 😀 Tomorrow we will get paint and wallpaper paste ready for decorating friend whenever he is ready. Hopefully next week. I already have lining paper. Then we need carpet and bunting. A trip to the tip is much needed too. Dh did most of the work today and I supervised- 2 walks in 2 days and I was shattered. Not sure how we go about getting carpet though as I don’t think carpet shops are open.January spends - £587.583
