The Chinese Buffett was delicious and we all have enough for today. I didn’t manage to get the creamed sweet corn but blitzed a small can and put about 3/4 of a tin in unblitzed. I was a tad disappointed with it though as it wasn’t as tasty as I remembered....but I usually use home made chicken stock and I used stock cubes this time. Apparently there is a shortage of the creamed sweet or and stocks on canned sweet corn is low worldwide. According to an article I was reading it’s to do with panic buying canned food and waiting for the next harvest....who knew 😏

It is beautifully sunny here today. I’ve started to empty the front room into our bedroom 😳 then Dh can sort through his last few bits to go into the back bedroom. He was going to do it on Saturday but felt a bit weary after having the vaccine on Friday. He said he didn’t feel poorly as such but just very tired....he slept through an episode of Marcella we were watching....but swore he didn’t. He did a good imitation though complete with snoring 😂
I’m going to go out for a walk in a while and come back to some chicken and sweet corn soup.

  • I'm glad DH has had his vaccine and hopefully you'll get one before too long. How old are you? I'm 56 so I'm in group 8. Hopefully over 55s will be jabbed within the next three months.

I’m 62 Hairy so hopefully not to long to go now.
I’ve just been on a walk to a local park....it was heaving. Apparently a new coffee van has started working there. I was going to get a drink but it had just shut up. Ah well saved myself a pound or so. I didn’t walk as far as usual as I came out of the park and pounded the quieter streets instead, I have just come home. I’ve really stiffened up feel like a 90 year old 😳 no disrespect to any 90 year olds out there 😂😏 so am having a milky coffee and a biscuit. I had my soup before I went out.  I was so hot whilst walking....what a change from the last week or so.
Just going to tidy upstairs enough so that I can get in bed tonight - there’s some things piled on my bed 😳I’ll be so pleased when we have finished everywhere. It feels as if I’ve been in a mess forever.....changing things from one room to another and going around in circles 😳😳😳😳
Cant decide whether to have my Valentines steak with a jacket and salad or left over Chinesefor tea tonight. I might let dh decide.

  • You should be in group 7 then I think based on your age. It's annoying when the park is busy, mine wasn't too bad today luckily but I don't really go there much. I got hot walking home from the park too but then it is up a hill!

Your house will get sorted eventually but make sure you don't do too much Milann! Where's that wagging finger emojie? 🤣

😂😂😂 I haven’t actually done much - emptied a bookcase and moved some bedding from one room to another and I’m done in. I’d have done the whole room in one day at one time - I reckon it’ll take all week to empty. And dh will do anything heavy for me. Thank you for caring Hairy 👍

Thanks Izzy - I’ve finished for the day now. Shut the door on the room until tomorrow then I’ll do a bit more. It looks worse than it actually is up there as there’s a lot of stuff waiting to go to the tip.
