I was looking at the snow and temperatures in Scotland- rather you than me. Feel free to keep them North of the border Beanie 😂😂 don’t feel you have to share. It’s bad enough here. My gks are in their element as they’ve had enough snow to make a snowman. They live by the sea and don’t often get much snow- it’s been all around them but not settled near them until today.
Mmm....waiting for a builder to come and sort out a leak through the brickwork over the hall window. It was like a waterfall a couple of weeks ago when we had all that rain. He should have been here at 10 o’clock. It’s the building firm that did the alterations and came out quickly when the radiator leaked. If he’s not here in an hour he’ll be working outside without his coffee that he consumes by the bucket 😂😂 as I’m going out to physio. Dh will drop me off.

Physio was ok. A bit sore after working the muscles but he gave me some things to be doing and I have to ring him for another appointment before 6 weeks depending how I get on. Seems a bit odd to me surely it would have been better making an appointment there and then even if it was a phone appointment......but that’s the way they do it now. At least I got to see him 👍
I’ve been onto the hospital where I had the tummy op at the beginning of September. They said they’d send an appointment for 2 months time. I still haven’t heard anything. I didn’t mither  as I’ve been in contact with my stoma nurse and my GP and I know hospitals are pretty busy atm. I suddenly wondered if occupational health will want to contact the surgeon....in which case I’d better chase it up. Anyway the receptionist was lovely and will sort an appointment out for me.

Dh had a message to go for his vaccine - he goes tomorrow. He is 67 so they’re getting through them quite well. We are over at ds tomorrow doing an Indian cookery class that dd bought him for his birthday. So dd will be in the class with us. I don’t know how many others are on it. It’s run by Jamie Oliver’s chefs. I don’t suppose it’ll be the man himself. Then we will eat it virtually together with dd and the children and watch a film virtually afterwards. Dh will have to dash off for his vaccine though.
Some more sorting of dh ‘stuff’ is happening upstairs as I speak.
The builder didn’t show up 😏 Bossman phoned at about half 11 to see if he’d showed his face and was not happy when he found out he hadn’t 😳

    Enjoy your day tomorrow.
    How odd about the physio.
Good idea to chase up the appointment.
    Bitterly cold here. Brrrr.

The Jamie Oliver cooking school was really good. It wasn’t the man himself and the curry was a tad hot for me (I took my own home made Korma) but the experience was really good. And ds and dh loved it. We didn’t get to speak to dd or gks who were doing the same meal but we could see them and we ate it together virtually afterwards and then watched a film together virtually too. So it was a nice belated birthday present for ds.
Another NSD yesterday. I’ve lost count so need to go back and count. Today will be a shopping day. Ds is coming tomorrow and I’m making a sw friendly Chinese banquet. It’ll last us a couple of days. I’m going out shopping and on a mission to find creamed sweet corn - I’ve not seen it in the shops for ages. It makes delicious chicken and sweet corn soup.
I lost 1/2 lb this morning- not quite sure how as I blew it from about Thursday  😳 I must have been pretty good at the beginning of the week 😉

Not made that soup in ages.
    Enjoy your buffet tomorrow  :)

  • The cooking school sounded excellent and such a good idea for a present in the lockdown times. I wish I'd thought about something like that for DD's OH's birthday last week.
Sorry to hear about the builder. What a faff.  🤬
The soup sounds very tasty. I used to make a creamy sweet corn chowder years and years ago from a recipe in a Good Housekeeping American cookbook.  It used to go down really well as a starter when I had friends over for dinner. I think DD has the book now.
Your Chinese buffet sounds yum.  I hope you all enjoy!😀
