Here’s a virtual glass of mulled wine 🍷 I think you deserve it after today’s shenanigans, what a palaver 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thanks SA 👍 I’ve managed to clear my settee and have eaten my tea downstairs and am now sitting drinking a fruit cider.....I’ve got a bottle of mulled wine somewhere in a bag in the bedroom but can’t get to it. I could reach the cider.....they’ve driven me to drink 😳😂 We paid over £400 for their expertise. The tops do look lovely- will look even better when the doors go on tomorrow. We paid extra for special drilling bits and a circular saw bit...I’d have thought that should have been included in the fitting.😳😳 Dh wasn’t impressed when he came home and realised they’d taken them with them...think he’s going to go and have a moan tomorrow - principles are involved 😂😂 They left all the rest of the rubbish for us but took the drilling bits 🤔🤔

Bliss.....no workmen here yet so I’m enjoying a quite half hour. I feel I should be sorting some things out...but I can’t put anything anywhere until the doors go on the cupboards...so I’m chilling.I’ve got the paperwork through for the injection on Tuesday. Got to be there for 9 am and going in as a day case....need to find my HSA form...I should get £30ish for that. Like I’ve said before there has to be better ways to earn money that are easier on my health 🤪 but I might as well get something since I’ve paid into it.January spends - £587.582

My peace didn’t last long. I’ve been holding a tap in place whilst builder is trying to do piping under the sink 🤪January spends - £587.583

Busy afternoon cleaning dvds and shelves, builder took shelves down for me and they’ve been duly washed of all building debris -3 shelves in an alcove so not too big 👍Dh will put them back for me later and the dvds can go back. I’m not sure why we keep them as we never watch them now - we stream everything. But it has been a good reminder of what we have and we might even get around to watching some. I want to clean the corner where they were too before dh comes in at 6.... better get a move on 👍 It’s a very small area with a coffee table. I need to section the room off into small tasks so I don’t overwhelm myself or do too much. Need to strike the right balance 🤪🤪
Half the kitchen is tiled 😀😀 need the rest doing and then grouting with a light grey grout 😀😀 Hopefully we might be finished by tomorrow 😀😀January spends - £587.584 -
I’ve been in bed since just after 8....I’m aching all around my middle 😏 I did too much ....it was only a tiny corner of the room I sorted and I rested lots whilst doing it. Getting mightily fed up.
Had a phone call saying my brother is really poorly in hospital with very high temp and infection showing in blood tests. They are doing scans tomorrow to try and find the source... He phoned me himself about an hour after his wife told me. He sounded really poorly. Positive vibes please. At least his COVID test was negative. He has given me so many scares over the years....he had sepsis that damaged his heart a few years ago and was in hospital a couple of months as it led to heart surgery.....hope it’s not going to be a repeat performance. There used to be 4 of us and now there just us two. Hoping the iv antibiotics kick in quickly.January spends - £587.582 -
Sounds like you are nearly there with the kitchen. Hope your brother gets better soon. It sounds worrying but hopefully they will find source of infection soon and the antibiotics will help.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
