So he has put the extraction fan in today and is coming back tomorrow.
I paid my cc card off in full today- the kitchen units were on it....too late for a cruise now as the cash has well and truly gone. I’m so grateful for this site as it was ppi cash several years ago that was saved for the special holiday which magically transformed into a kitchen/utility room....... But I’ll get more pleasure in the long run cooking nice meals in my new kitchen and having relatives visit and being able to use the loo 😀 than a trip on a tin box of germs stopping at different ports with lovely food 🤔🤔 Who knows if the pandemic ever sorts itself and we eventually get the inheritance we’re waiting for I might get a nice holiday after all......
Dh came back a different person....he’d put life back in perspective and we’ve watched tv upstairs all afternoon 👍 with fish and chips for tea 👍👍January spends - £587.581 -

At least you’ve done something useful with the cruise money and it’s something that will last and give you pleasure for years. At some stage you can still have your nice holiday, maybe not a luxury cruise but a lovely relaxing time in the sun somewhere.
Glad DH regrouped 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
That’s the plan SA.For starters I’m hoping we might get to Skye next summer to stay at a B&B run by a lady I used to work with. Coronavirus allowing..... It looks lovely and she is an amazing baker so her food should be good. En route we plan to stay at a few different places and I want to let dh ride on the steam train that goes through the Highlands....I’ll enjoy it too 😀 Then we’ll see where else we get to. I want to do a few staycations before under my belt flying with my latest addition to my person as apparently flying can affect it 😱 I need to get my confidence back when out and about with people around 🤔
I went into town to Specsavers to get some hearing aid batteries and have new tubing put in. I was quite surprised how many people were about. I needed milk so since we’d parked in Tesco planned on nipping in......the queue was around the shop. So we got in the car and called at the corner shop near home 👍 I’m not waiting in a queue if I don’t need to.January spends - £587.581 -
I got quite excited when I went downstairs.....the end is in sight 😄😄 Most of the cupboards are complete and I got my first glimpse of what it should look like next week when it’s finished. The builder has worked hard today. Once the worktops are on on Tuesday it should transform it. We’re still upstairs though as the worktops are sprawled across the living room and the chairs are piled high with things form the kitchen drawers 😱😱January spends - £587.581

I'm really glad the end is in site and you'll be able to enjoy your lovely new kitchen every day for years to come. Hopefully you'll be able to have some holidays too one day when we get back to normal. I’m not sure if we will get there Beanie but that’s our aim. Dh would love the Jacobite line which was used in Harry Potter and the plan is a couple of stopovers to places we haven’t visited and maybe a trip to a lovely lake where dh can take himself off for a walk whilst I visit a lovely little cafe to meet a friend......🤞🤞 there’s a lot of maybes in the mix but a girl has to dream 👍👍January spends - £587.582

Dh has repaired the central heating boiler this morning.....now it’s not working 🤔😳😂 It was dripping previously but was working. Anyway he’s hoping it’s because it’s not talking to the thermostat so we need new batteries to put it to the test......
Going to see relative in our bubble later to have tea at his. Then he is coming here next Saturday to put the house alterations to the test. I’m going to have a busy few days after Tuesday sorting everything into new homes 😀😀 I’m looking forward to it 😀😀January spends - £587.582
