Today is a trip to see the nurse. I’m hoping this might be the last as there is definitely scabbing happening. I’ve bought them a box of biscuits as a little thank you for looking after me.
The builder has just arrived.... I’m longing for a lazy Saturday morning where we don’t have to rush around getting ready for them.
Has anybody got an Addis 10 in 1 steam cleaner that is a floor cleaner then detaches to make a hand clean steamer. I was looking at one in B&M for about £30. I need a new mop and bucket as my mop bucket has been used by somebody and there’s about 6 strands left on my mop. I like the idea but is it just too much faff changing all the different bits.

  • I'm glad the electrician has finished and cleaned up the mud. I'm sorry about the hard working labourer, I hope he can be treated successfully.

I agree that you should put your health first and although you enjoy your job and are very good at it, it is a tiring and demanding role. Also when you were off sick with your arm operation you seemed to find lots to occupy you? I know it's lockdown at the moment but with these new vaccines around the corner hopefully by this time next year things will be more normal.

I hope your visit to the nurse goes well.

Is that not about right for that type of surgery?

We have a temporary sink and worktop. The doors are on the wall units now and it’s already looking good. I’m so pleased dh was in the room with the builder as he was just about to put the handles on which were the wrong ones 😡😡😡 but the builder didn’t know this. He’d have assumed they were right and put them up.  The delivery note was correct but they’d put long thin handles in the pack and we’d ordered round knobs. Dh went to Howdens they didn’t have any.....but a neighbouring town did....so dh headed there to be phoned by shop lady whilst en route saying it was a computer error and they didn’t actually have any in but next town along had 36......so dh headed there....another phone call....another computer error 😡😡😡 by this time dh headed home as I had to get to the nurse. We tried to call into Howdens to have a rant but we just missed the midday closing time 😡
So dh will call in on his way to work on Monday (it’s right near his work)
l had a lovely couple of hours playing with the builders chunky chocolate Labrador who come for a visit whilst dh was chasing around.
This afternoon we went to The Range to get a loo holder, bin and some hand towels for the utility room. We also bought a mirror for in there but might end up taking it back as it’s not long enough for ds and dh to be able to see their faces as ds is sitting in his chair and dh is standing. We ended up spending £50 as we also bought some SW ready meals.....not something I’d usually do but needs must atm 😏 It was absolutely mad in there....I bet The Range were so glad they have the Iceland concession in there.
