milann said:Certainly a few positives to post this weekend
- inheritance is moving in the right direction
- we have a date for the kitchen delivery
- I’m walking a bit further with dh each time we go out
- I’ve got a friend ready to paint the kitchen/diner
- The table I’ve got my eye on is still available with click and collectAnother who agrees that you should stay away from paint pots! It must be annoying for you as you are always so hands on with painting but best to leave it to your friend!Hope all went well on choosing the vinyl!xFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Vinyl is ordered. Painter is painting kitchen and builder is sorting some things in bathroom. Kitchen comes next Monday - not sure when the worktops will be ready though. I’m bored upstairs....done a bit of knitting. I’m getting frustrated now as it seems to have been going on forever.
I’ve been really tired after a few busy days and been pleased that dh has been in work as I needed the rest.
Not much to report money wise. I need to start thinking about Christmas but can’t motivate myself.

Forgot to say most of the Ave stood outside for the 2 minute silence on Sunday. One of the neighbours brought a tray of mince pies and mulled wine afterwards and we had a toast in Remembrance...it was really lovely. There are only 10 houses in the Ave and 7 houses came out. We all kept our distance - it was a lovely catch up.January spends - £587.582

That sounds lovely. I was in the midst of sorting out the under stairs cupboard and didn’t realise the time. I thought we had a power cut because the radio went quiet- then it clicked 🤭I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

It would have been my dads 102nd birthday today. I think it’s 31 years since we celebrated his birthday with him - how bad is that I can’t remember the year he died.....it’s 30 or 31. He always booked a days holiday and celebrated in his own quiet style and ‘wet the shamrocks head’ with a glass of whisky in the evening and spent the day with my mum and it was always an open house for friends and family to pop in. I miss him and those days.
The painter is putting a 2nd coat on today. It looks different already with just the 1st coat so should look good when it’s finished. Builder has taken a load of rubbish away. Next we need the vinyl so that the toilet can go in.....kitchen is coming next Monday. Flooring for the kitchen the following Monday. Then it’ll be fun and games sorting everything that was just thrown into the bedrooms and deciding what we want and what needs to go. Dh bought me the red kettle and toaster I wanted. It’s from Dunelm and was £30 cheaper than a similar branded one in Curry’s. 😀
Worryingly we had an email about the Wren Kitchen delivery date. So we are going to have a word tonight when dh finishes work.January spends - £587.581 -

I had a chuckle at the builders dog today. He found the shelf in the hall with shoes on and brought me dh crocs and slippers and would only give back in return for a bonio biscuit. Think she charms all the builders clients 😂😂😂❤️ She is a very gorgeous, and very chunky chocolate LabradorI was reading through the literature the head teacher sent about the meeting later this month and it is all about capability to continue working. I think I was right when I suspected they want me to take early retirement. It will be what it will be what it will be.
Think we’ve sorted Wren out and kitchen has been cancelled. Phew.....don’t need that sort of hassle 😳January spends - £587.582 -
Will you be ok with early retirement? Thank goodness you managed to stop the kitchen delivery, you could’ve ended up with two 😮I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
