A job well done there, now on to the next one, it’s never ending isn’t it. Hope you’ve enjoyed a rest today 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Another lazy day - I’d planned on a big tidy up but it was a bit of a non starter. I went to pick a prescription from the chemist and then went for a walk around the grounds of an old hall nearby. It’s not very big but quite pretty. I bought some oblas oil for dh.....£7.50 😲 he has had a cough for about 15 years.....it sounds awful. He’s had x rays, a scan and been to lung function, tried asthma sprays and hayfever meds but all the tests have been negative and the sprays don’t help. Docs say ‘it’s just one of those things’ You can imagine the reaction if he coughs in the street atm..... it isn’t any worse - I just think we’re more aware of it....he isn’t poorly with it and has no temperature. I’m not sure whether the olbas oil helps it or not but it doesn’t do any harm....so I thought we might give it another go. It didn’t cost that much last time I bought it 🙄 I swear by it though👍
I picked some spinach from my grow bags in the garden and stuffed it in chicken with feta with breadcrumbs. It was gorgeous - not very SW but was a nice treat.I’ve been doing a bit of my knitting today - just one rib and stitching the sleeves in now then I can post them to gks 😀January spends - £587.583 -
Do you think the cough could possibly be a nervous habit he picked up years ago?1

Just caught up with you milann!😀. Great news on the fence - you both must be so pleased with it.I get a bit of a cough if I eat a lot of cheese - which has disappeared since I went vegan. The vegan cheese doesn't seem to bring it on - or maybe I don't eat as much of it now as the real stuff. Could DD's cough be food related do you think? Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I’ve no idea what brought the cough on with dh, it started years ago and he recently told me it was after he’d swept up at the place he worked. There doesn’t seem rhyme nor reason to it....but he sounds as if he smokes 50 a day - in fact he gave up smoking nearly 40 years ago and even then a packet would last him a week. He’d have a couple over the evening. But it sounds horrendous- he’d get lynched if he went into a shop atm. I’ve not noticed it linked to food but I’ll keep an eye on that. It’s interesting that cheese made you cough SSG. Eve it’s possible it’s a habit/nervous cough but sometimes his chest wheezes like mad.
I went to Morrison’s today ended up spending over £80 - some of it is for relative but I’ve stocked up and freezer is full. Then I went over to Aldi and parted with another £20.....I wanted leeks and couldn’t get any anywhere. I managed to get a few reduced Items -tomatoes, mixed berries, cherries, gu cheesecake, pita bread and some Kipling cakes. Quite a good haul of yellow snickered stuff.
It has been blowing a gale, we’ve had hail, rain and sunshine. So other than nipping to the shops it’s been a knitting and painting model figures and buildings for the railway. It’s been a lovely way to spend a day.
Im half hoping they’ll delay the opening of school as some of the neighbouring authorities are putting the opening date back as the R rate is over 1 in my area. Watch this space......January spends - £587.581 -
I wonder what sort of thing your DH was sweeping up when it started.

Thanks Beanie, I’ve not been to relative yet Beanie, I’ve done the shopping ready for tomorrow.Apparently it was a dusty floor he was sweeping.....no idea if it has any relevance but he only mentioned it a while ago....so no way of knowing what it was.....
I’ve moved onto a new Slimming World site - they’ve totally revamped it and it tells the date I started.....2012 😳😱 annnd my weight isn’t much less than it was then. I have had periods where it was 2 stone lighter though but much of it has crept back on.....😊 but I suppose if I hadn’t kept it in mind it could have been much more.January spends - £587.581 -
