I slept like a log last night - painting fences must have taken more out of me than I expected. Dh got up at 7.30 and I rolled over for another half hour....then had a cuppa and read the end of my book before I ventured out of bed. Bacon butty in the garden until it was too hot for me 😋
I came in where it was much cooler and watched Little boy Blue on catch up. So sad and I wasn’t sure I should be watching such a sad and cruel true story as entertainment. This afternoon we went for a ride to a lake about 15 minutes away - the traffic trying to get into the carpark was horrendous so we didn’t bother , bet there were crowds there - we drove to the water park we went to a couple of weeks ago - about 10 minutes from where we were. We had a lovely shaded walk around the lake - it was much busier than last time we were there but if you were careful could still keep your distance - although some just ploughed through without distancing from anyone😡😷😡
Another NSD today 😀 On that thought I need to pay my cc today or tomorrow.....January spends - £587.583 -
Well done on painting all those fence panels. Your walk around the water park sounds lovely

Good news to have such a handy neighbour 👍 Also well done on the fence panel painting, no wonder you slept well. Why do folks feel the need to go somewhere when the weather is hot? When we had access to transport if it was hot we preferred to stay in our garden rather than sit in a stuffy car driving to a beauty spot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Nothing is happening on 1st June at school - it’s still our half term. Staff are in on 8th and 9th for training and final preparations. Year 6 and support staff children on the Wednesday- the following week year 1 and the week after reception. I’ve had 10 documents to read this morning- hopefully it’ll make more sense once it’s in action. I’ll be in a bubble with a teacher I get on ok with - I’ve worked with her before. The only trouble is she is really loud 😂😂 took me ages to get used to her booming voice. I’ll have a constant headache until I tune into her again 😂😂 She is lovely- just loud. Not sure which children will be with us yet - they’re still sorting that out.... What about your school Hairy, any extra hours?I don’t think we’re venturing out today SA - yesterday was enough for me. We might venture for a walk once things cool a bit this evening.I’ve just had a phone call from the hospital telling me they’re sending appointments out for the injection in my hip. I’m still going to go ahead with it as it is still giving me trouble even though it’s a lot better than it was.January spends - £587.583

Typical- just been around to B&M to get fence panels - they didn’t have any. I was raring to get my paintbrush out this evening. Spoken to next door about helping us to put them in place ......we were all set to go ......no panels🤨January spends - £587.583

Seems like the bubble approach must be the preferred way my area are adopting that as well. I do like trying to guess where you have been walking, some I can get, others not 😂.Well done on all the fence painting , it will be great when it's all done.Hopefully not to long before we will be back at the big shopping centre having a coffee .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

Lol Sunshine - I’ll give you a clue - the motorway passes the water park I’ve been to. You must have passed it many times....there’s a footbridge over the motorway that is quite a feature. From that water park you can get onto the banks of a river and then onto the canal. It’s not a million miles away from where we meet.....and there’s a tram station - have you got it ? 😂😂😂
The place where the traffic was backing up and we didn’t bother with is the opposite side of the river about a mile or so away from above water park - you can walk from one to the other but have to drive quite a way around to get to them both by the road....have you figured out where I’ve been now 😂😂😂
The walk where I watched the goslings is a 5/10 minute walk from my home - used to be ponds from an old bleach works and has since been landscaped and brought into the local park. It’s right near County’s ground.
I think everywhere is doing ‘bubbles’ - it’s what they’ve recommended. Ideally I’d prefer to wait until the figures are lower - they were 300 ish when the schools shut....and although they’re coming down - they are still significant. But everything I’ve read today - it’s as safe as they can make it make it whilst they’re open. I’m very much in ostrich mode - a minute at a time.....😳 No idea what they’ll do when they introduce more children...but I’m not even thinking about that one - they don’t pay me enough to solve that conundrum 🤪🤪January spends - £587.582 -
I have the first one no problem, the second one I googled 😀. Hope you have had a good day.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

Knew you’d get the first one SG2
I am the proud owner of 4 new fence panels for my back fence....we brought them home on the shopping trolley from B&M and took it back very quickly. Easier than the time we borrowed a van to get them home 😀I’ll paint them over the next couple of days and next door from both sides will help put them in. I am and even prouder owner of a very nearly complete, newly painted fence between us and next door....we just need a couple of part panels putting in either end. Next door is going to cut them over the weekend. Dh was going to help him put the painted panels in today, by the time he’d come downstairs next door had lifted it over his head on his own and put them in.....so we left him to it.....oh to be younger, taller and stronger 😂😂😂😂 I’m hoping before I head back to work to have newly painted fences and sheds EVERYWHERE 😀😀
I spoke too soon when I’d said I’d slept well....I tossed and turned all night, I was hot, my arm ached and I couldn’t lie on my hip. But I’d also been on my iPad until midnight and I’m convinced it’s when I’m on technology late that I don’t sleep.
i ended up doing a few hours work today - a teacher I work with was asking me some info as she was writing reports. I didn’t mind as I wasn’t doing much else.Another NSD for me today - dh bought the fences. I want a few NSDs before my cc statement on 7 th as my car insurance went out on this one....need to reign in a bit as I’m well and truly stocked up with everything.Sorry for being a fence bore - how sad am I that I’m excited by fences 😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.583 -
Glad the fence is all sorted. We went halves with next door with our fence panels. The neighbour fetched them and put them in thankfully.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
