Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

I don’t think it’s wrong to think that the current situation has messed up a lot of folks lives other than losing a loved one. The majority of us have done what we’ve been told and stayed in, and we haven’t passed the virus to anyone. So many people have suffered through no fault of their own. I feel for all the businesses that have lost custom 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

milann said:2 out of 3 sheds are looking pretty good. I might saunter around to B&M for some paint slobber and give them a quick coat and paint the fence panels we brought back last week before they get put in by next door.
Stew turned into a meat and potato pie and it was rather delicious even if I say so myself - I didn’t have any pastry but dh enjoyed his. My 20 p pack of cabbage was devoured with it - not a scrap of waste on it. I’ve paid full price for worse. I stir fry it these days with a bit of onion and garlic - makes it very tasty - better than boiled cabbage. I’m trying with my SW - slowly but surely getting there a half pound at a time.... Enjoy your vegan version SeasidegalVery true about coming out the other side! Let's hope. I went to the flower show last year - It was lovely - feels like a hundred years ago though and a different world - like you I feel so sorry for the exhibitors and gardeners. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I couldn’t get the paint slobber anywhere - according to t’internet it looked like screwfix had it but when we tried to click and collect - no chance. So orange fence panels it’ll have to be until we get some. Next door are clearing the overgrown area right now so they’ll probably put the panels in fairly soon. We were going to go out for a walk but it’s too hot so maybe this evening. Maybe not....I’ve grown so lazy this last week and just CBA going out - everywhere I’ve been seems so much more crowded. B&M was sheer madness last night.January spends - £587.582

We went for a walk this evening to a place I’ve not visited for a long long time. The views from the top of the hill were amazing - you see The big city, a power station many miles away between my big city and the next big city along. In the other direction we looked over the hills of The Peak District. It’s a place we used to walk the dog but I don’t think I’ve been since. It’s about a twenty minute drive from home. If nothing else I appreciate what’s on my doorstep a lot more. En route we popped into Homebase for fence paint - no chance. They had Some on line for over £30 for 5 litres.....at screwfix it’s £18 for 2 tins of 9 litre.....t’internet can keep it 😱January spends - £587.583

Dh went to B&Q before 8 this morning - we are now the proud owners of 2 big tubs of green fence slobber. I really wanted Cuprinol or ronseal but it’s own make. At least it’ll cover the orange fence colour for a while whatever it is. I was raring to go - stuck my nose out and it was FREEZING 😨 so I promptly came back in again until the wind dies down and the temperature picks up a few degrees. I’m now so pleased I came back in as I’ve been sitting watching the hailstones bounce in the garden.....maybe tomorrow 👍😂
I've just nipped around to Aldi for a few bits - a lady in a mask spoke to me - I had no idea who it was....apparently she is a parent at school and she told me the child’s name it still didn’t click......then she went on in full detail to tell me who he was.....I eventually clicked it’s a boy in a class a worked with several years ago....I felt so embarrassed not knowing who she was......anyway I blamed the mask 😂😂😂😂 but I didn’t expect to see folk from work near me - it’s about 3 miles away with lots of shops in between. I’ll not forget her again 😂😂😂👍January spends - £587.583 -
I went in work yesterday and it was pretty boring. I’m used to working with challenging children in a fairly noisy environment but basically we were a childminding service - we talk to the children a lot but are not able to get close enough to play properly with them or do any productive kind of work. I was with the person who was creating a fair bit of conflict with her views on WhatsApp recently. She did try to get my opinion and she said she hadn’t said anything out of order and couldn’t understand the all the bad feeling. All I said was sometimes written words can come over differently than intended to the reader.....and left it at that - even though she tried to draw me in. Think I’ll get a job in the diplomatic core 😱🤔 Two weeks half term holiday now and goodness knows what’ll happen after the holidays- could be all systems go 😳😳 or working at home again depending on the final decision about schools at the end of May....I treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco- an offer of 2 big pizzas which are really nice ones and a bottle for £12. So that’ll be a nice treat some time this week 😀January spends - £587.581
