Just seen an advert for Lidl advertising goose, lobster and some other seasonal stuff. My question is, has anyone seen whole lobster for sale in Aldi?

Thanks but we don't have a Morrisons here. The nearest available store is approx 30 miles away, even further than either Aldi or Lidl.

    Hmmm! Norfolk?

    How about ICELAND?

2 in Norwich, Dereham, Beccles, 3 in Great Yarmouth, 2 in Lowestoft, Cromer, Thetford.

    Any good?

    Currently £5

Has anyone looked at or bought one of the 'cashmere' blankets at £14.99 that Lidl is selling from 8th Dec? They are supposed to rival similar ones in John Lewis for a fraction of the price but sound too good to be true. Think the 'cashmere is only about 5% with the rest being acrylic. Would love to know what peeps think?
They're fine, same quality as Poundstretcher etc. They serve a purpose well enough and have the advantage of being machine washable. I bought one for the LO from Aldi last year and it has been washed countless times having been adorned with milk and baby sick frequently, and still comes up looking new.

If I needed more I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

That is a really good buy.
A few years ago we went to Sainsburys with a discount voucher (£8 off if you spend £40 I think), and they had a 6.5 litre oval slow cooker reduced to £11, so we bought that without even thinking.
I reckon all slow cookers are pretty similar, so you have bagged a bargain, and it is just the time of year for stews and casseroles.

Keep an eye out for the "SPLIT" divided crock pot that fits it at a big discount bargain price.

They originally went for £9.99 but I found them reduced in a few stores over time at £6.99, £5.99, £4.99, and £3.99.
    Eventually bought one at £2.99.

There is a central division giving you two 3 and a bit litre sections allowing you to cook 2 different dishes at the same time.

Great if you want to cook 2 different curries simultaneously - eg a medium Chicken Balti and a hot Chicken Vindaloo

One thing we've done is a curry one side and jacket potatoes the other.

Thanks...I got one of the burgundy and cream geometric patterned blankets in the end. Seem fair quality but I wouldn't have wanted to pay very much more for one. Nice to snuggle under when telly watching :)

So you're giving her sausage ?

Seriously, i buy the mid range Aldi Sausages, they're in packs of 8, think they're about £1.40 ish ? They're in the greaseproof type wrapping. We like them, but nothing beats the sausage from our local deli, they're £2.50 for 6 but they're marvellous !

Aldi and Lidl both have venison sausages, I think for £ 1.99. I can't remember which was nicer but both very good! I'll leave any other sausage behind for those.
