Lidl 'DeLuxe' brand Angus Ribeye steak, 2 x £4.69 Special (£9.38) Purchased on the 1st December so I don't know if the promotion is still on but thoroughly recommended. Tasty, moist and cut like butter. Will certainly look out for them. (I think that they are usually £4.99 each)

Just seen an advert for Lidl advertising goose, lobster and some other seasonal stuff. My question is, has anyone seen whole lobster for sale in Aldi?

These are £4.50 in Morrisons if that helps

Has anyone tried Aldi's "Specially Selected" Sausages? £1.79 for 6 sausages (400g).

I'm ok with the 85p pack but I'm using them in something I'm cooking later in the week for a fussy foodie. It's a date so I don't want to be serving her rubbish - she already has a bad impression of British food (thinks we just eat fish and chips everyday!)

So you're giving her sausage ?

Seriously, i buy the mid range Aldi Sausages, they're in packs of 8, think they're about £1.40 ish ? They're in the greaseproof type wrapping. We like them, but nothing beats the sausage from our local deli, they're £2.50 for 6 but they're marvellous !

So you're showing her we sometimes have a change and eat sausage and mash:eek:. As she's a 'foodie' why not try something really exotic next time like pizza or chicken tikka masala?:rotfl:

Well I've just cooked and eaten ...

Salmon fillet pan fried in butter with a hint of fresh Scotch Bonnet chilli and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Baby new potatoes boiled with fresh mint

Asparagus tips, tenderstem broccoli and sugar snap peas

Oven warmed crusty white rolls with lurpak

    AND IT WAS DELISH !!!

Quite possibly a "brownie point" scorer if you're trying to impress

    And I'd say definitely BRITISH

Thanks but we don't have a Morrisons here. The nearest available store is approx 30 miles away, even further than either Aldi or Lidl.

Has anyone looked at or bought one of the 'cashmere' blankets at £14.99 that Lidl is selling from 8th Dec? They are supposed to rival similar ones in John Lewis for a fraction of the price but sound too good to be true. Think the 'cashmere is only about 5% with the rest being acrylic. Would love to know what peeps think?
