Maybe because it's an inferior wine?

Aldi only stock quality products. Lidl has always been the little brother trying to keep up ;)

I would equate Aldi with Waitrose whereas Lidl is Tesco/Morrison/Asda
When you've compared Aldi's or Waitrose's Zindenfal with Lidl's , do contribute your feedback.

Lidl has Californian Zidanfal red wine at the moment for £4.75, this grape does not turn up often even at Waitrose. Mine are unopened but of you try one, do report back!

Tesco sell a RED one, albeit Italian for £4.50

and by the way it's ZINFANDEL

Bold & full bodied - from grapes grown in sunny Puglia, South East of Italy.

Bold flavours of ripe cherries and plums and some savoury spices for added richness and complexity.

  • I was thinking of trying Aldi frozen Roulade £3.49.

I keep looking at it in the brochure, has anyone tried it yet.

    Thanks

£1.69 for 250g , with lots of different varieties

I believe usual price is around £1 per 100g ?

Noticed there were self scans in the Lidl that opened in the summer - didn't take notice of these of the other week. Well done Lidl as it annoys me when I have only got 3-6 items and having to stand behind a customer with an overflowing large trolley.

This is very nice from Lidl. Had the Tuscan one a few weeks ago and having the other one for Xmas Eve. http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/17200.htm?action=showDetail&id=38823. Seen something similar in Waitrose for about 2,5 times more money.

Might be an idea to check any packs of Kania gravy granules you might have bought from Lidl lately:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38352738

"The products affected are 300g packets of Kania Gravy Granules for meat and for chicken with best before dates of October and November 2017."
