The 19p super six were selling fast in Aldi this morning. My local branch is often out of stock of the specials normally so I do wonder if shoppers going later this week will be disappointed.
Never mind sprouts, my local Aldi was out of champagne today!
It may not be Krug, but at under £10 a bottle it's quite drinkable and ideal for parties.0 -
Just back from lidl and got carrots, parsnips and sprouts at 19p a pack and then popped into tescos where the caulis were 39p compared to £1.45 in lidl:eek:
Just realised you put LIDL and NOT ALDI for the 19p veg!
I was about to post that my nearest Lidl had reduced its sprouts, parsnips, carrots and potatoes (Mini Roasters - King Edwards) to match the Aldi price of theirs at 19p. Only the Escallion Shallots remain at the original 29p price.
Don`t know if this is nationwide or just stores situated like mine - there is an Aldi less than 200 yards away, little more than a 2 minutes walk !
Regards the cauliflower - 89p in both.
One last thing - ASDA`s 20p range includes BROCCOLI (360G)

I'm in NI. We don't have Aldi here and NI prices and specials are often a lot different to GB prices
Caulis were £1.45, broccoli 89 and I'm sure cabbage was 69p today - all 3 were 39p in tesco
This is why I keep an eye on all prices at all times. Lidl isn't always cheapest
Saying that I got part baked baguettes for 45p ( tesco £1) and hovis White 75p (tesco 95p)0 -
New lines in our store, Nespresso replacement pods for £1.79 for 10 and CussCuss bags for 59p.
Plenty of 19p lines in yesterday morning, it was fairly quiet for once which surprised me.0 -
Have to say the venison carpaccio from Aldi is absolutely delicious! Can't wait to try the duck and beef
Also, the mini bite Stollen and Lebkuchen selection were some of the best I've sampled.0 -
Got a huge turnip and a bag ofmaris piper potatoes for 19p each in my local aldi this morning as well as carrots etc. They had a load of stock but the shop was extremely busy0

If it doesn't have to be 'real' champagne I can thoroughly recommend the Aldi Cremant du Jura. It's a sparkling chardonnay but not at all sweet. It's made in the same way as champagne but not in the Champagne Region. It's £7.49 a bottle.0 -

It's English "champagne" sparkling wine but the champagne label is reserved for French vineyards. But is actually superior to some champagnes.0 -

It's produced in France, just not in the Champagne region.0
