Anyone else get the frozen sushi pack recently? OH was delighted with it, and not bad for under £3 for a treat :D

Isn't frozen sushi a contradiction ? Always thought the point of it was to get as fresh as you can get.

Frozen is as fresh as you can get in most cases...

Fish is frozen just minutes after been caught on the trawler. The same applies to vegetables.

Dunno about frozen sushi but Aldi's chilled fish sushi is a rather nice treat, if you like sushi.

If you were miffed when Aldi stopped doing a S.A. Fairtrade wine, the seasonal drinks shelf at my Aldi had a Fairtrade red and a Fairtrade white. The red is a 2015 Shiraz Merlot and very drinkable.

My Aldi had honeycomb icecream in stock. This seems to sell out very quickly so hopefully it's because it's delicious.

For those who like to use moist toilet tissue, I really like Aldi's Saxon, 42 flushable sheets for 69p.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

The best muesli has to be Luxury Muesli from Lidl. One is Fruit and one is Fruit & Nut.

I couldn't get to Lidl one week and bought some Alpen - I'd forgotten just how tasteless and "claggy" it is - ugh. I threw it out for the birds and made do with porridge until I could get to Lidl and stock up with F&N.

That's good to know as I usually use Andrex buying then for £1 a pack whenever I see them on offer.

I'd second that. It has a Good Housekeeping award. My DH loves it so much (blue bag is his favourite) we'll be taking some with us on holiday.
