I've now tried all the Cup-a-soups, and I can confirm that it's one of the few areas where Lidl is streets ahead of Aldi.

The Lidl soups are excellent - especially the Tomato & Veg and the Chicken & Veg. The Minestrone is very nice (way better than the Aldi equivalent), although it tastes too salty to me.

The Aldi winter veg was okay whilst they had it... during the winter. Their Tomato & Basil is good, if you like Basil.

I'd second that. It has a Good Housekeeping award. My DH loves it so much (blue bag is his favourite) we'll be taking some with us on holiday.
I prefer the M&S one (gold bag). It is delicious with Weetabix and full fat milk.

I only stopped buying it when I cut down on carbs, cereals are my downfall.

I bought some cakes and muffins yesterday from Aldi. 85p for a pack of 4 muffins. Hubby said the chocolate muffins were great, much better than Asda's.
Also got a carrot and walnut cake for £1.69 (I think) which was pretty tasty.

DH bought a shark razor from lidl to give it a try after running out of his expensive Gillette ones, and was most impressed

I'm also very impressed with their cein sensitive deoderant. It's a clear pump spray and is keeping me pong free after mowing the lawns in this heat and humidity

Lidl's dark chocolate digestives are lovely, only 69p a pack, and I prefer them to the Mcvities ones.

    New Products at Aldi-

    - Craft Rolls (x4) 79p white & malted granary

    - Ice Cream Cones now available in 6-pack, still at 89p. Only in Choc & Nut and Strawberry at the moment, but it looks as though they may replace the 4-packs. No reduction in size or quality. Bargain at 15p each.

    - Coconut Oil. No idea whether £2.99 is expensive or cheap, but that's how much it is.

I feel the same way about their milk chocolate digestives.

Do you know the size of the jar? Depends on that if it is a good price ;). Is it a special or a regular new product?

    It's a 300g jar.

    More details here:, https://www.aldi.co.uk/p/70350/0

Looks like it's a regular product (it's on the shelves with the other oil products).

Try the Aldi ones, I could have easily demolished a 300g pack at a time given half a chance. Just 55p, but a distant memory for me now...

I needed some more facial moisturiser, and thought I had bought a load of Cien at 1/2 price (99p) but didn't find them. After seeing prices of the branded good in Superdrug I decided to go home and have a good hunt...and I have several in stock. Result: my thirsty skin is now beautifully quenched.
