They have finally clicked that 47% of women are size 16 or over and these are available under Aldi's improved sizing, sizes 8-20. I got a size 18 pair and they are a true size, nicely made too.
Hopefully I can resist Aldi goodies so that they will be a little bit loose and need a belt by the time the summery weather arrives.
Something to look out for in Aldi: Gorgeous packs of Spanish fuet and chorizo, 3 long slim salamis, no fridge needed until opened - on the Specialbuy food shelf, at the end of the Specialbuy aisle.
The game salamis (same shelf) are also lovely, packed full of flavour, great addition when cooking - I popped some, finely diced, into a bacon and pasta bake - yummy!
I purchased two sets of Aldi ladies vests at size 18 and they are really comfortable. I am usually a 14-16 on top so I had to go up a size to feel really comfortable in them.Competition Wins:

At last......the English asparagus has arrived at Aldi. Late this year, but well priced at less than £6 per kilo. Less than half the price of the Waitrose equivalent too.
Lidl's British Asparagus in our store is from Spain....wrong labels on the shelf. The Spanish one is looking very good, though...

The ginger nuts are back in Aldi!
Moreover, these are not the horrible, smooth, thin, pale biccies that were produced by a bakery that got shut down by hygiene inspectors, but proper ginger nuts, as they were up to some six months or so ago.
The surface is cracked, they are the requisite thickness, a proper dark gingery-brown, the same colour throughout and they taste strongly of ginger.
I hope the buyer who switched Aldi's suppliers to the substandard, disgraced bakery had some awkward questions to answer...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Is it very spicy? Sounds lovely, but can't take too much heat! Thanks!0 -

It's smooth & savoury to start with and then has a little bit of heat as an after-taste.
The other varieties (Garlic and Herbs) are equally good but not spicy. They are similar to Boursin, but half the price.0 -
From Aldi really enjoyed the Rockstone ridge White Zinfandel . My once a week treat. I buy the single glass bottle. Very easy to drink.Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. MORT by Terry Pratchett.0

From Aldi - Absolutely gorgeous STRONG Chedder - No.7 for those who like cheese that tastes like cheese. Choice of Scottish or West Country style.
As I'm on a self-enforced cholesteral limiting diet this is very much a special treat!0 -
I just had the new Aldi bratwurst with chilli for tea.
Very nice, the chilli is definitely there but it isn't too hot for those who don't do heat very well.
These are with the standard bratwurst in the chiller section.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Lidl's tomato and chilli burgers are gorgeous, quite spicy but don't shrink when cooked, and hardly any fat comes out.
Tried the Aldi pepper and chilli ones but they are nowhere near as nice. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
