Big thumbs up for Aldis duck and pancakes. Only noticed them this week, £4.49 I think, definitely less than £5, 12 pancakes and lots of duck
Also recommend the onion bhajis and samosa starters, 85p eachYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
As well as selling Linda McCartney regular vegetarian sausages, my local Lidl is now selling the red onion and rosemary ones. For £1.25 a packet. As well as (IMHO) being very nice, the red onion and rosemary sausages are good for dieters as they are only about 68 kcal each.
I like the 'stimulation' drink from Lidl as well. I have no idea how it compares to Red Bull having never drunken any Red Bull. (I always presumed that it wasn't vegetarian but I've just googled and apparently it is.)0 -
no the brand is Bucklers reserve. and they were Buffalo burgers not venison (sorry - my memory isn't what it used to be!). OH loved those too! We shall be buying those or the Wagyu beef burgers now - ordinary quarter pounders taste like poor copies so OH says. I still haven't tried them myself, but plan to next week (IF they still have them in stock - you all know what Aldi are like). I really dislike ordinary burgers but OH assures me that these are much different.0

Residue left in the drawer. Unless I crumble the tablets beforehand, I sometimes found undissolved lumps in the drawer. That's one reason I like the Aldi ones, they do seem to dissolve easily.
Hmmm, I've just used some tablets from a new box, and they look a bit different (slightly different colour and shape). Unfortunately, they seem to have left a bit of residue in the drawer, so perhaps they've changed the formulation?Stompa0 -

That is one of Aldi's Achilles heels - that and chopping and changing what they do and don't stock.0 -

Good news. I love these sausages. I have also just started a diet;). I'll stick up if I see them.0 -

The original flavour ones are £1 in Sainsburys until 26th April :cool:0 -
I have always been impressed with Aldi avocados, they are always ready to eat which can be hard to find. Generally their fresh fruit and vegetables are always good quality - some could do with less packaging rather than being covered in plastic.0
