norpak, that's the one, couldn't remember the name,, the recipe has changed, yuk,,, and yup I transfer the milk to a jug,, im finding quite a few things are recipe changes , the flapjacks (at the till) my granddaughter and I used to have one each after shopping, that is until they changed the recipes,,,, now the just like little cakes? I wouldn't pay 3 times the amount getting similer items at asda, the 1kg lurpak tubs were on offer this week at half price, so just stock up a few,,
Im going to have a browse around lidl later to see what they have available, ive not shopped there before only picked fruit etc up,,0 -
I like both Aldi and Lidl 75p salted butter. I tend to use it v occasionally on Vogel bread toast but mainly for baking purposes. It does the job fine.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think it's already been established on this forum that it's actually Country Life in disguise, so why not?
The forced hike in butter prices of a few years ago has been dealt a major blow by Aldi and Lidl. Good for them as the price rises certainly weren't benefiting dairy farmers!0 -
The Aldi Corale baked beans got a thumbs down from Hubby and I have to agree with him. I thought the sauce tasted too sweet and Hubby said it wasn't thick enough. Back to Branston Beans from the £1 shop methinks.0

Has anyone seen the large packs of Formil washing powder lately? It's disappeared from my local store, only the small packs now.0

I know what you mean about the Norpak. It now spreads really easily which is great but it has an "off" smell and taste is nowhere near as nice as the old recipe in my opinion. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0 -

Aren't you the one who keeps reminding people on how much salt is in their food?:whistle::whistle:0 -
what is it with the long life milk cartons,,,, ive bought these for a few years, but now when I go to open the cap the whole thing comes off!!!!!!!!!!! so trying to pour from the carton is impossible,, im getting really fed up of them changing produce, same with their butter (lurpak similer) straight in the bin,, and off to asda, which we seem to be doing more and more, aldi is going down the pan in my estimation,
I have brought both versions of the Aldi long life milk cartons for nearly 3 years. I have only had two when the cap came off.
All the cap does, is to twist a saw toothed plastic ring into the foil sealed top. You really don't need to twist the cap with vigor.
