  • Why can Vodafone not provide a network unlocking code for an iPhone 7 plus 256gb. I have requested it more than twice and vodafone staff refuse to supply. Apple confirmed that Vodafone UK have locked the phone, but vodafone refuse to unlock. Phone was bought SIM free, no network lock.

Also my other phone would not work abroad. Asked several times via online chat to get it working. Worked 3 times for 5 minutes in 3.5 weeks. So phoned didn't work until I returned to UK!

If it was bought supposedly unlocked then take it back to where you bought it from as it was mis-sold.
  • So I made a complaint to Vodafone today, what do you think?

Coming to the end of current contract, where I've had a 50% off deal. Had a lot of billing problems and was pretty much billed incorrectly 6 months in a row, mostly to do with data. Each month I would sort out with web chat team but in November 2016 I was getting annoyed it was every month so as well as sorting it out I complained. Part of the resolution is that I was offered 50% off my next contract, same deal as I currently have. Great. Got this chat saved. Went on chat again the day after to confirm and they did. Got that chat saved as well. Great.

Tried to upgrade today and was told no discount. Told they would never offer that discount (well I've had it the past 4 years...) and they weren't going to offer anything. Made a complaint by phone, spoke to a complaints manager who didn't seem bothered and wouldn't offer any sort of % or do anything to resolve the issue.

What do you think? I feel I've been lied to and are going back on a deal I have in writing (twice). I think this is incredibly bad service and as a customer of over 10 years I'm now looking to leave.

I've filled in the web form and my code is #14986147

    Hi Colin_Maybe,

We're only able to unlock handsets purchased directly through Vodafone.
You can find more information on our Network unlocking process on our website.

    Actually I knew that :)

Did you mean to reply to someone else?
  • I recently took a new contract out with vodafone as my phone was broken, so upgraded early. Unfortunately since July I have had so many problems,
1st being i was offered a deal but however I did not receive that deal.
2nd is that they were taken the payments of the wrong account and didnt tell me.
3rd i had a bill of in excess of 200, and when i tried to sort this mess, I was asked to go into the shops to show the email that had the offer in it, ad once that was done i would get my deal they offered. however when i went into the shop to show this email i was onlly then told that I wasnot even a vodafone customer! finally after being cut off for the 4th time, i went in to a shop again and again was told I was not a customer. I then called vodafone billing and was told that I would get my offer as stated when i took the contract out in july, however after sorting it as i thought i had, i got a confirmation email to tell me what my monthly contract was, and it was wrong again!. I then went on to the live chat to be told that my monthly bill would be 40, so again back to the start again and stated that i was offered 37 a month, which I should get 20% discount as I work for a compant that is eligabe for vodafone advantage.

I have to say that I am now at the end of my teather and looking for more help and if anyone else has had this problem.

    thanks

I'm confused, did you take a contract out with Vodafone directly or was it with a 3rd party company. If Vodafone themselves was it in a shop, online or over the phone?
  • I took the contract out over the phone with vodaphone.
