The implication is quite clear, if you cannot control your borders, who can live here and who cant, what your laws are, you are not a country in any meaningful use of the word.

If others outside your borders can determine what laws you must obey, with no meaningful way to change or abolish them, you are not a country in any meaningful use of the word.

I'm a British citizen, so no naming and shaming here.

I also have no plans to go bankrupt, and am currently in the process of dealing with my own situation to ensure that doesn't happen. That will ultimately affect where I stand with regards to any expansion within the UK.

I would like to be able to trade freely with all countries in the world and not just white christian eu ones only
