this makes them heroes to you but vile scum to me.

However, you correctly deduce that the EU elite will deliberately damage the economic interests of the people of the EU for purely idealogical political aims: this makes them heroes to you but vile scum to me.
But then we have a different set of moral principles and different moral compasses.

Quite an unpleasant piece of xenophobia.

Both sides of the negotiating table will be considering their political aims and you know it.

In my view free trade benefits both parties to the trade: I realise you don't even understand the what that means, let alone agree.

The EU elite has know its trade policies (especially agricultural) are bad for its own people and bad for a large number of developing countries but maintained them to suit the politics of the ruling class in Germany and France. You are OK with that : I am not.

You may consider that the UK trading as freely as possible with the whole world, is bad for the people of the UK, I strongly disagree. I don't understand how you call that xenophobia but that for you to say.
Whilst I wish the very best for the people of the EU, if you are correct and the elite deliberately damage their own people and the people of the UK then I hope they get their just deserts.

If UK GDP grew by just 0.7% in Q3 2016 that would still be a greater increase than the one-off “boost” promised if we stayed in the EU and TTIP came into effect

How big does the GDP need to grow in order to cover the wages/admin bill from the Brexit process?

We can't be any better off until we've finished paying for the divorce.

Of course the young are remainers - I have 2 teen Sons and they told us ALL the teachers were remainers and that only the downsides of Brexit were ever discussed. Talk about an abuse of position.

I see youngsters of Bremoaner parents (we are having dinner with our good Bremaoners neighbours Saturday), saying things based on vile misinformation such as that they 'wont be able to travel Europe now', lol. Amazed so many Kiwi's and others imagine this 'impossible' feat, lol.

When you talk to these kids and gently get them to think about what the upsides of Brexit will be, it's as if they've for the first time been introduced to Darwinian natural selection theory having had a diet of Jehovah from their parents.

"Oh, so you need a VISA to holiday in Turkey, but it's only £10 and no hassle at all, and the same will apply to EU travel, oh, my (bitter) parents never mentioned this"

As for small minded, well I'd say that label belongs to those terrified of change and rising to new challenges

To be fair, to a lot of people, there are no upsides to Brexit.

Plus, we also don't know what EU travel will be like in a post-Brexit world. It's likely to just be a token VISA application, but they could apply any restrictions that they wanted.

all investment make us worse off in the short term as we forgo current consumption for future gain.
if we had never foregone current consumption for future benefit, then we would all be day labourers.

The one thing that really amazes me, is the universal belief of all remainers is that the EU elite would deliberately damage the economy of their own people just to get hurt the UK. Incidently it disgusts me that, even so, the remainers what to be part of that. I guess fear and lack of courage make strange bedfellows.
