    Good. I like it.
A bespoke deal for cities that voted to remain might be the way to go.
The idea could be replicated for Liverpool, Manchester, Cambridge, Cardiff, while the swivel-eyed brexiteers in the countryside can enjoy their splendid isolation. A win-win all around. :)

Does his plans include discriminating against the people of all black African countries, all of Asia etc and only favouring people from White, Christian Europe in line with the protectionist discriminatory europhile bigotry?
  • Mr Sarkozy said that if he is again elected president of France, he would propose a new treaty for a “new Europe” in a bid to keep Britain in the EU. The centre-Right French politician said that if he got back into the Elysee Palace, he would fly on day one to Berlin to get agreement for a draft of a new EU treaty, and then the next day head to London.
“I would tell the British, you’ve gone out, but we have a new treaty on the table so you have an opportunity to vote again,” he said, adding: “But this time not on the old Europe, on the new Europe.
“Do you want to stay? If yes, so much the better. Because I can’t accept to lose Europe’s second-largest economy while we are negotiating with Turkey over its EU membership. And if it’s no, then it’s a real no.”

There will be a capped level of immigration for skilled workers* and yes some of these skills will be required in London and Cambridge.

The British people want sensible, managed immigration, something the Remainers were unable to comprehend for some odd reason.

    * plus of course there will be unskilled and non working immigration flows, for example family members being bought over.

    No, please not another referendum.
Brexit means Brexit and we will make a success of it.
Ideally inside the single market, inside the customs union, and with free movement of people, with some tinkering around migrants benefits to keep the swivel-eyed claptonites happy. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Sorry? We are already an independent member of the WTO as are All EU member states, as is the EU in its own right.

Opinions differ as to whether we are or aren't.

I guess it doesn't hurt to apply in any case which also tells the EU we don't intend to wait cap in hand relying on their benevolence.

Whilst it's true that some Remainers insist that technically the UK is not a member of the WTO on the basis that it does not currently have it's own schedules and there’s a minority of legal opinion backing this up, but it’s unlikely anyone is going to question Britain’s membership itself. We were a founding member of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (Gatt), the WTO’s predecessor, and we’re a founding member of the WTO.

However, good article here on the problems the UK faces not having its own "schedules".

    Ideally inside the single market,

Selling to the SM without tariffs (around 40+ free trade deals the EU has with lots of tiny states) is fine. Services can be exported using Equivalence or brass plating although the ending of passporting would hamper 8300 EU firms that export services into the UK

Will French farmers like loosing their UK supermarket orders or supermarkets making the farmers swallow the tariff cost, if Hollande insists on making their goods more costly?

I see you are absolutely never going to treat the people of non white, non christian, non european countries as equals. Fits in well with the antisimetic, racist, misogynist corbynite labour party:
