why wish doom and gloom on people you have never met/will never know
even IF they are debt junkies or whatever

Note that Theresa May seems quite keen to reduce the minimum wage in poorer areas (i.e. anywhere that isn't London), so companies are going to jump on that and it'll potentially have more of an effect on wages than East Europeans will.
On the other hand when the immigrants are sent packing we will have a shortage of labour, pushing up the price of wages. That is a good reason not to sent them home, protecting the Tories friends.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

This seems to have been written from a position of ignorance. The UK is already a member of the WTO (as are all EU members). Agreeing to allow the EU to represent you is not the same as not being a member.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. so you are saying that Labour and their union mates want the foreigners to be sent home to force up wages but the tories will fight for them to be allowed to stay?
I suspect the behaviour of our Eu friends will affect matters.

A major part of the vote for Brexit is to bring down immigration numbers to a level that allows normal wage conditions to return. Ok it means you may have to pay a little more for your courier, but as a good hearted person you will welcome a pay rise and return of hope and dignity for working class people of course
Again, the Brexit vote was only to leave the EU - not to change immigration in any way. For all we know, it may remain as-is.
I am not trying to be argumentative, but you cannot say that you actually voted for immigration changes because that was not what the referendum was on.
Yes, it could be the first step towards a change in immigration, but hey, we have firstly got to leave the EU which will take a little time.
You have to understand that voting to leave the EU means that democratically we should leave the EU. Getting the changes that you would like regarding immigration - we have not had a vote on that so the government is in complete control of that unless they give us a referendum on that too.
Reality check is all I am saying. To err is human, but it is against company policy.0 -

Then you appear somewhat out of touch with the electorate. As many politicians were.0 -

No one knows how the electorate want Brexit to be effected because they weren't asked. Within the 52% who voted for Brexit there is likely to be widescale disagreement about what Brexit should look like re: immigration with some at one extreme believing we should repatriate all people born overseas and others believing that we should remain in the EEA and remain signed up to the free movement principle. It is quite likely that enough people who voted for Brexit do not consider reducing immigration to be important that when you add those people to Remain votes, the "immigration brexiteers" are actually in the minority (as a percentage of the whole electorate).0
