If we vote for Brexit what happens

He has no mandate to do so – that is certainly not within his remit. He is only mayor of London, and that office actually has very little power. Perhaps he is proposing that London be an islamic caliphate?

Are the new options for referendum EU membership or EEA membership, that should set the pulses racing!
I have to say I am actually shocked by how unprepared the senior Conservative Leave politicians have appeared to be for the prospect of Brexit.
I'm just waiting for the outrage amongst Leave voters when EEA/EFTA is revealed as the preferred solution, with free movement of Labour.
No wonder Boris looked like he was bricking it yesterday.0 -
For the avoidance of doubt the European council has issued the following statement. The notification of Article 50 is a formal act and has to be done by the British government to the European Council. It has to be done in an unequivocal manner with the explicit intent to trigger Article 50.It could either be a letter to the President of the European Council or an official statement at a meeting of the European Council duly noted in the official records of the meeting. Negotiations of leaving and the future relationship can only begin after such a formal notification. If it is indeed the intention of the British government to leave the EU, it is therefore in its interest to notify as soon as possible."If I don't reply to your post,

I see he was speaking at London gay pride today on the whole issue.

On the contrary he is charged with "promoting economic development and wealth creation in Greater London" so I cannot believe that he is prevented from speaking to the EU or London MEPsFew people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
A brief excerpt from 'Yes Minister' which turns out to be amazingly accurate.

Predictable response. :j
If I said he wanted to establish it as a Roman Catholic papacy, would that also be considered racist?
Fed up with the predictable PC accusations of 'racism', to be honest.0 -
