Actually those HSBC jobs, like the Morgan Stanley ones would be transfers - as in the people currently doing the job in London relocated. I'm sure some would rejoice at losing a few bankers, but the thing is that the support staff that is currently needed in London for these people are the ones who will, well, no longer be needed - I'm taking secretaries, IT support, mailroom staff, print room...

Banks are shrinking in size. Technology is automating jobs. Change is occurring Brexit or not.

    This was in May.
The outsourcing deal, which will shed 595 jobs in Sheffield and a further 245 posts lost in London, Leeds and Birmingham, is the first big tranche of redundancies under a restructuring plan that will eliminate 8,000 British jobs by the end of next year.

Jobs are going to Poland and India. Wages are cheaper. The UK is expensive.

Big business is out to make profit not provide secure life time employment.

I'd think that a financial institution announcing that they're considering moving X thousand jobs from the UK to another EU country after Brexit is caused by Brexit. Something to do with this little thing called passporting ;) and nothing with jobs being automated.

Feel free to not believe it :p

Yes it's a great time to be a racist - you can come out of the closet and truly be yourself. Must feel very liberating not having to squash all those racist feelings down?

    The racist card lol.
If voting for us leave the uk is racist then you have to agree the UK as a whole is fundamentally racist. Me included
Its probably for the best if ALL non "white British" born leave the UK for an EU country.
Oh hang on, lots of Non white British also voted to leave,

One thing I'm not sure on is what "race" we are being racist to? Perhaps you could explain it to a simpleton like myself Posh.

Just to add, The ONLY ones showing hatred are the Remain camp towards the leave voters.

    Me.

I've been made redundant 4 times. Twice company went under. Twice was taken over. Contracted for past 17 years.

Been contracted in Civil Service for past 4 odd years. Where our current objective is to cut organisational operating costs by 35% -40% by 2020. So far we've reduced our own operation headcount in total from 839 to 586 staff as part of the process. Yet still deliver same services in a more productive and cost efficient manner without any outsourcing.

My wardrobe of teeshirts is a little larger than yours I suspect. When you've experienced more of life let me know.
